Description

The Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite FDE is the restricted state build of Tippmann’s flagship .22 LR AR-15, finished with a flat dark earth DuraCote receiver set. It ships with a fixed CAR15 stock, a non-threaded 16 inch barrel and a ten round magazine.
Elite Construction, Compliant Configuration
Three things change from the standard Elite: the stock is fixed rather than adjustable, the muzzle is left unthreaded, and the rifle comes with a ten round magazine. Nothing else about the gun has been downgraded to meet the requirement.
The receivers are still aluminum and mil-spec compatible, so AR-15 grips, optics and sights fit directly and the controls sit exactly where a centrefire shooter expects them.
Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite FDE Finish and Handguard
DuraCote is a sprayed and baked ceramic based coating rather than an anodised colour, which gives the flat dark earth finish real durability against holster wear, bench rash and weather. It also lets Tippmann match the tone closely to FDE centrefire rifles.
The free float M-LOK handguard mounts bipods, lights and hand stops directly, with no bolt-on rail sections to add bulk or catch on gear. The flat top receiver carries a full length Picatinny rail.
Furniture and Capacity
The fixed CAR15 polymer stock sets a standard length of pull suited to most adult shooters and removes one more adjustment to check. The Tippmann Gen2 grip uses the standard AR-15 interface, so it swaps for whatever you already like.
Capacity is 10+1 from the supplied magazine. Tippmann sells short ten round and pinned fifteen round magazines, so spares that keep the rifle compliant where you live are easy to add.
Sights and Optics
The full length Picatinny rail on the flat top receiver takes any AR pattern mount, so a red dot, a low power variable or a rimfire scope all bolt on without an adapter. Flip-up back-up irons fit as well if you want a co-witnessed setup.

Ammunition and Accuracy
Blowback rimfire actions want copper plated high velocity ammunition rather than the cheapest bulk lead round nose. CCI Mini-Mag, Federal Automatch and similar loads cycle consistently and group noticeably tighter, and the difference is obvious by 50 yards. With decent ammunition and a red dot most shooters stay on a soda can well beyond that.
Training Value
Round count is the real argument for a rimfire AR. Five hundred rounds of .22 costs less than one box of match centrefire ammunition, so reloads, malfunction drills and position work stop being something you ration and start being something you actually practise.
Why Buyers Choose the Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite FDE
The Tippmann Arms M4-22 Elite FDE gives shooters in restricted states an aluminum rimfire AR in a finish that matches an FDE centrefire rifle, without the polymer compromises most compliance builds ask for.
Who Should Buy It
Shooters facing magazine, stock or muzzle restrictions who still want AR training at rimfire prices, and anyone who prefers a fixed stock. It doubles as a capable small game and pest rifle around a property.
Be realistic about the limits. Rimfire semi-autos are ammunition sensitive, the barrel is not threaded so a suppressor is not an option on this variant, and no optic or sights are included.
Compliant spare magazines and a Tippmann speed loader are listed alongside the rest of our firearms selection. Manufacturer documentation is available from Tippmann Arms.
Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred there after a background check. Please confirm your state and local rules before ordering.
