Taurus TX9 Compact 9mm 10 Round Overview
This Taurus striker-fired pistol is built for everyday carry and home defense, with a polymer frame, a textured grip, and a trigger designed to be easy to learn. Taurus pistols are known for practical features at a price that leaves room for a holster, spare magazines, and training ammunition.
Design and Features
This configuration has a 4.0-inch barrel and a 10-round capacity. It has a Stainless frame, a Gas Nitride slide, and a Matte Black barrel. It weighs 23.7 Oz. unloaded and measures 7.19 In. overall. It ships with 2 magazines.
Handling and Carry
It carries comfortably and shoots well for its size. Choose a holster made for this exact model and practice with your carry ammunition.
Trigger and Controls
The trigger has a consistent pull with a positive reset, and the slide serrations and controls are easy to use.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and the optic-ready slide lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 9mm Luger Cartridge
The 9mm Luger is the most popular handgun cartridge in the world. It offers manageable recoil, good capacity, and a huge selection of affordable practice and defensive ammunition.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
