The GX4 TORO Strike Industries package takes the optic-ready GX4 Carry TORO and drops it into a Strike Industries chassis, which turns a pocket-sized carry pistol into something quite different: a full-length grip, a forward accessory rail, a rear support arm and a threaded barrel standing proud of the slide.
The GX4 TORO Strike Industries holds fifteen rounds of 9mm, with an optic-ready slide, and a 3.70-inch threaded barrel with a protector fitted. It is a range and home-defence build rather than a concealment gun, and it is one of the more interesting things Taurus has put its name to.
What the chassis actually adds
- The GX4 TORO Strike Industries chassis adds a full-length grip module, so the whole hand lands on the gun rather than two and a half fingers
- A forward accessory rail, which the standard GX4 does not have at all, for a light or a laser
- A rear support arm, which changes how the pistol is braced and steadied

Two things to be clear about before you order
- Taurus catalogues more than one version of this chassis package, and the rear brace configuration differs between them. Call or message us and we will confirm exactly which variant is on the shelf before it ships
- The barrel is threaded, which means it will accept a muzzle device or a suppressor. MAG5 does not sell NFA items. A suppressor requires an ATF application, a tax stamp and approval before you can take possession of it
- Nothing about a threaded barrel is restricted on its own. It is the can that requires the paperwork, not the threads
- This is not a concealed carry setup as configured. In the chassis it is a range, truck and home gun
- The GX4 TORO Strike Industries is not an SBR and we do not sell or configure short-barrelled rifles

9mm Luger is the most widely produced and most tightly standardised handgun cartridge in the world, with chamber and pressure specifications published by SAAMI. That matters a little more than usual here: if you intend to run a suppressor once you have your approval, subsonic ammunition behaves differently in a short-recoil pistol and is worth testing carefully.
One honest assessment of what this package is for. A GX4 TORO Strike Industries is not a better carry gun than a plain GX4, and it is not a rifle. What it is, is a very stable, very compact 9mm platform that takes an optic and a light, holds fifteen rounds, and stores in a space no long gun will fit. For a nightstand or a truck that is a genuinely sensible configuration, and it is a great deal of fun on a range day.
