S&W model 13617 has a 4 inch barrel, an optics ready slide, night sights and 15+1 capacity, and it ships with three magazines, making it a duty-ready compact 9mm for officers, agencies and serious defensive shooters.
Smith Wesson MP9 Compact OR LE Overview
0 platform introduced a better trigger, grip, frame and finish to S&W’s respected polymer pistol line. An extended, rigid stainless steel chassis is embedded in the frame to reduce flex and torque, and a low barrel bore axis keeps muzzle rise down for faster aim recovery. 0 trigger is crisp with a lighter pull and a tactile and audible reset. The grip has an 18 degree angle for natural point of aim, aggressive texture for control and four interchangeable palmswell inserts (S, M, ML and L) so you can tune hand fit and trigger reach.
This LE model adds an optics ready slide for mounting a red dot and night sights for low light, with a 4 inch barrel and 1 in 10 inch twist. Two magazine sleeves are included so you can use 17 round full size M&P magazines as backups. The take-down lever and sear deactivation system let you disassemble the pistol without pulling the trigger, and the Armornite finish resists corrosion and wear.
