Description
The Smith Wesson Bodyguard Carry Comp 380 is the Smith & Wesson Performance Center Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp with a manual thumb safety, a micro size 380 Auto pistol with a Crushed Orchid Cerakote frame and a Performance Center Gray Armornite stainless slide. It has a 3.1 inch ported stainless barrel, AmeriGlo night sights, and ships with one 10 round and one 12 round magazine. This listing is UPC 022188906806, Smith & Wesson SKU 14836.
Smith Wesson Bodyguard Carry Comp 380 Overview
The Bodyguard 2.0 is the modern striker fired version of the Smith & Wesson pocket 380, with a better grip, a flat trigger and real capacity. The Performance Center Carry Comp version adds a PowerPort that vents gas upward to tame muzzle rise, a more aggressive slide design and night sights, turning a tiny carry gun into one that is genuinely pleasant to shoot.
PowerPort Compensator
The 3.1 inch stainless barrel and slide are ported so gas exits upward, pushing the muzzle down and reducing felt recoil. In a gun this small, that makes follow up shots noticeably faster. Ported barrels throw more blast and flash upward, so practice and avoid firing from a retention position against your body.
AmeriGlo Night Sights
A LumiGreen AmeriGlo Protector front night sight pairs with a blacked out square notch Protector rear. The bright front sight is quick to find in daylight and glows in the dark.
Ergonomics and Trigger
The slim, textured grip fits small and large hands, and the flat trigger gives a crisp break. The extended slide coverage makes the slide easy to grab and rack, which helps shooters with less hand strength.
Manual Thumb Safety
This version has a manual thumb safety for shooters who want one on a pocket or appendix carry gun. Practice sweeping it off on the draw until it becomes automatic.
Finish and Construction
The stainless steel slide wears Performance Center Gray Armornite, a durable corrosion resistant coating, and the polymer frame is finished in Crushed Orchid Cerakote. Smith & Wesson lists it as 0.88 inches wide and 4.0 inches tall.
Capacity
It ships with a flush 10 round magazine for maximum concealment and a 12 round extended magazine for a full grip. Colorado, Delaware, Illinois and Vermont buyers should note that Smith & Wesson lists those states as compliant markets for this model.
Carry and Holsters
The Bodyguard 2.0 Carry Comp is built for concealed carry in a pocket, appendix or ankle holster. The longer 3.1 inch barrel means holsters made for the standard Bodyguard 2.0 may not fit, so choose one made for the Carry Comp.
State Laws
Handgun rules vary by state, including approved rosters and magazine limits. We can only ship this pistol where it is legal to sell. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
