Description
The Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round put a genuinely modern chassis under a cartridge that spent decades being served by 1911s and Glocks. Five inches of barrel, a 6.8-inch sight radius, an optic-cut slide and the X-series straight trigger, all wrapped around the 10mm Auto round. This listing is the manual safety model in the reduced-capacity configuration. UPC 798681712861.
Ten Millimetre, Properly Housed
10mm Auto sits between .45 ACP and .41 Magnum in useful terms: a 180 grain bullet at around 1,200 feet per second from a 5-inch barrel, which is meaningfully more energy than 9mm or .45 and enough for deer-sized game and bear country carry where that is legal. The Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round gives that cartridge a full-length grip module designed around it rather than a 9mm frame stretched to fit.
The Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round grip module is new rather than borrowed. SIG built a 10mm and 45 Auto X full-size module with a stippled texture and the higher beavertail of the X-series, which matters more with this cartridge than with a 9mm because there is simply more recoil to manage. Weight is 33 ounces, which is light for a full-size 10mm and is the honest source of most of the recoil people report.
Controls follow the X-series pattern: an X straight trigger with a 90-degree break, an M1913 rail and, on this variant, an ambidextrous manual safety.

Sights, Optics and the Slide
The Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round slide is an X optic-ready unit with front and rear serrations, cut for a PRO-footprint sight. A SIG ROMEO2 mounts directly; a Trijicon RMR fits with a sealing plate. Given how far a 10mm will reach, a dot on a Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round is a more useful upgrade here than on a 9mm carry gun, because the cartridge outruns iron sights before it runs out of energy.
Underneath sit XRAY3 day night sights as standard. A tritium front inside a high-contrast ring reads fast in daylight and glows unaided in the dark for the ten to twelve year life of the vials, where fibre optic needs ambient light and goes black without it. On a pistol that might be carried in timber at dawn, that distinction is the whole point.
The 6.8-inch sight radius is the longest SIG offers outside the XFive, and the five-inch barrel is what lets 10mm reach its advertised velocities. Short-barrelled 10mm pistols give up a surprising amount of what you paid for; this one does not.

Honest Caveats Before You Buy
Recoil is the first honest point about the Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round. A 33-ounce polymer-framed 10mm firing full-power loads is a handful, noticeably sharper than a .45 and in a different category from 9mm. It is manageable with a proper grip and it will punish a lazy one. If you have not shot full-power 10mm before, buy a box before you buy the gun.
Ammunition is the second. 10mm costs considerably more per round than 9mm and fewer shops stock it, so practice is expensive and resupply is less convenient. Worth knowing too: a lot of factory 10mm is loaded well below the cartridge potential, close to .40 S&W levels. If you want what 10mm actually offers you need to buy the full-power loads, and those cost more again and kick harder.
Capacity on this Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round is exactly what the name says. The grip is built around 15-round magazines, so in Pennsylvania and most other states standard 15-rounders drop straight in and the Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round stops being a ten-round pistol as soon as you buy a pair.
Two last notes. This is the manual safety variant, which some shooters want and others actively do not; the non-safety XTen exists if you prefer it. And confirm your optic before ordering, because the PRO cut takes a ROMEO2 directly while an RMR needs a sealing plate to keep debris out of the cut.
Who it suits: hunters and outdoorsmen who want a serious cartridge in a modern chassis, 10mm shooters tired of choosing between a 1911 and a Glock, and P320 owners who want the same manual of arms in a bigger calibre. The Sig Sauer P320 XTen 10mm 10 Round is the most refined home 10mm has had.
