Description

The Shark Coast Valkyrie 5.56 10.5 in. is a 5.56 NATO AR-15 pistol from Shark Coast Tactical with a 10.5 in threaded barrel, an M-LOK handguard, an SB Tactical SBA3 brace and a Magpul MOE grip. It ships with a 30 round magazine.

Shark Coast Valkyrie 5.56 10.5 in. Overview

Shark Coast Tactical is known for AR-15s with bold, custom Cerakote finishes and well-chosen furniture. The Valkyrie is built on an aluminum receiver set with a full-length Picatinny top rail for optics, and an M-LOK handguard with plenty of room for a light, laser or grip. 5 in barrel has a black nitride finish for corrosion resistance and is threaded so you can swap muzzle devices. The SB Tactical SBA3 brace adjusts for length and helps stabilize the pistol. 223 Remington.

AR Pistol Setup

A 10.5 inch AR pistol is compact enough for vehicles and home defense yet still shoots 5.56 NATO with useful velocity. Add a red dot and a weapon light to the M-LOK rail and it becomes a handy, maneuverable defensive tool. Pistol brace rules have changed in recent years, so check current federal, state and local law.

Custom Look, Standard Parts

Despite its custom appearance, the Valkyrie uses standard AR-15 parts and magazines, so upgrades, spare parts and accessories are easy to find. That makes it a fun rifle to personalize further over time.

Care and Maintenance

Keep the bolt carrier group clean and well lubricated, wipe down the Cerakote with a lightly oiled cloth and avoid harsh abrasives. Check the castle nut and muzzle device for tightness periodically.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.

Recommended Accessories

A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
