Description

The Savage 93 XP 22 WMR Brush Camo is a complete rimfire package rather than a bare rifle. It arrives with a Weaver 3-9x40mm scope already mounted, a Coyote Tan Cerakote barrelled action and a Brush camouflage synthetic stock, which means you can zero it and hunt with it the same afternoon.
Savage 93 XP 22 WMR Brush Camo Barrel and Optic
The 21 in. barrel is button rifled and finished in Coyote Tan Cerakote, a coating that handles weather and handling far better than the bluing usually found at this price. Rifling is a 1:16 twist, the standard pitch for 22 WMR and correct for the 30 to 40 grain bullets the cartridge uses.
The included Weaver 3-9x40mm scope covers the useful range of the cartridge comfortably. Three power is plenty for a close shot at a squirrel, nine power lets you place a bullet precisely on a coyote at a hundred and fifty yards, and a 40mm objective gathers enough light for the dawn and dusk hours when most rimfire hunting happens.
Action, Stock and Trigger
The receiver is steel and comes drilled and tapped, so if you ever want to upgrade the optic the bases are already there. The Savage AccuTrigger is user adjustable without a gunsmith and breaks cleanly, which is the single biggest contributor to shooting a rimfire well and is very rarely found at this price point.
The stock is synthetic in Brush camouflage, a pattern built around the greys, tans and broken vertical lines of dry cover rather than the heavy greens of timber camouflage. It is light, it does not swell in the wet, and it hides the rifle against fence rows and brush piles.

What 22 WMR Does That 22 LR Cannot
22 WMR pushes a 40 grain bullet around 1900 feet per second, roughly twice the energy of a 22 Long Rifle at the muzzle and considerably flatter past seventy five yards. That turns a plinking rifle into a genuine hunting rifle for squirrel, rabbit, raccoon, fox and coyote out to about a hundred and fifty yards.
Ammunition costs more than 22 LR, which is the trade, but a box lasts a long time in a rifle used for hunting rather than for volume plinking. For a farm or ranch rifle that has to solve real problems, the magnum is the better choice.
Why Buyers Choose the Savage 93 XP 22 WMR Brush Camo
The AccuTrigger is the reason to pick this over the other rimfire packages on the shelf. Most budget rimfires ship with a heavy, creepy trigger that undoes whatever accuracy the barrel has, and Savage simply does not.
The Cerakote finish is the second reason. A rimfire hunting rifle lives in a truck, gets rained on and leans against fence posts, and a coated barrelled action survives that treatment in a way a blued one does not.
Who Should Buy It
The Savage 93 XP 22 WMR Brush Camo suits small game hunters, farmers and ranchers who need a predator rifle behind the seat, parents setting up a first centerfire style hunting rifle for a young shooter, and anyone who wants one rimfire that can do everything from squirrels to coyotes. The included scope makes it a genuinely complete purchase.
