Description
The Ruger American Rimfire Sighted 22 WMR is a rifle chambered in 22 WMR with a 18-inch barrel and a 9+1 capacity. This version has a Black Synthetic stock.
Ruger American Rimfire Sighted 22 WMR Overview
The Ruger American Rimfire brings the features of Ruger’s centerfire American Rifle to .22 and .17 caliber, including the Marksman Adjustable trigger, interchangeable stock modules for comb height and length of pull, and rotary magazines compatible with the 10/22.
Design and Features
This configuration has a 18-inch barrel and a 9-round capacity. It comes with a Black Synthetic stock. It weighs about 5.3 lb. with an overall length of 35.75″.
Handling in the Field
It is light, accurate, and inexpensive to shoot, a great choice for small game, plinking, and teaching new shooters good habits on a bolt gun.
Action and Trigger
The bolt has a 60-degree throw, and the Marksman Adjustable trigger breaks cleanly. The tang safety is easy to reach.
Sights and Optics
Mount the optic of your choice with quality rings or a mount, and zero it with the load you plan to use.
The 22 WMR Cartridge
The 22 WMR gives noticeably more speed and energy than the 22 LR with very light recoil, great for small game and varmints.
Setup and Accessories
Start with a quality optic and solid rings or a mount, then add a sling for carrying and a bipod or shooting bag for steady rests. Test a few loads for accuracy and settle on the one your rifle likes best. A hard case protects your investment on the way to the range or the field.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the rifle and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the bolt face and chamber. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Mount your optic, bore sight it, then fire your first groups at 25 yards before moving to 100. Let the barrel cool between strings, and record your zero and the load you used. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the bore when you get home.
