Description
The Rock River Arms LAR-15M CAR A4 in .350 Legend is a 16-inch AR-15 built for deer hunting in straight-wall cartridge states. It weighs 6.8 pounds, wears a 13-inch M-LOK free float rail and comes with RRA’s two-stage Ultra Match trigger fitted from the factory.
Why .350 Legend
Several midwestern states restrict deer hunting to straight-walled cartridges, which historically meant a slow, heavy-recoiling lever gun or a shotgun slug. The .350 Legend was designed specifically to solve that in an AR-15. It uses a straight-walled case that complies with those regulations while producing meaningfully flatter trajectory and far less recoil than the alternatives. The Rock River Arms LAR-15M CAR A4 puts that cartridge in the platform most American shooters already know.
16-Inch Stainless Barrel
The barrel is stainless steel with a 1:16 twist, which is the correct rate for the heavy-for-calibre bullets .350 Legend uses. Stainless resists the weather a hunting rifle actually lives in far better than a phosphate barrel. A CAR-length gas system with a low profile gas block sits underneath, and the muzzle wears RRA’s Operator Brake on 1/2×36 threads.
Two-Stage Ultra Match Trigger
This is the detail that separates the rifle from a parts-bin build. RRA’s two-stage Ultra Match trigger has a light, predictable first stage and a clean break, and it is the trigger most AR owners eventually pay to install. For a hunting rifle where one careful shot matters more than volume, a good trigger is worth more than almost any other upgrade.
13-Inch M-LOK Free Float Rail
The extended lightweight free float rail runs 13 inches and takes M-LOK accessories directly. Free floating means the handguard never touches the barrel, so a sling or a bipod cannot shift point of impact. Thirteen inches gives plenty of room for a bipod well forward, which is what you want from a treestand or a rest.
Forged Receivers and RRA Furniture
Upper is a forged A4, lower is a forged RRA LAR-15M marked multi-caliber. The rifle ships with RRA’s Operator CAR stock, overmolded A2 grip and winter trigger guard, the last of which lets you shoot with gloves on without fighting the trigger guard. Overall length is 33 inches with the stock retracted.
Practical Weight
At 6.8 pounds bare, this is light enough to carry into and out of the woods without resenting it, while still being heavy enough to hold steady. One 10-round magazine ships with the rifle.

Who Should Buy It
This is a deer rifle first, aimed squarely at hunters in Ohio, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan and other straight-wall cartridge states who want an AR rather than a slug gun. Recoil is mild, the trigger is excellent and the weight is manageable on a long walk.
The Rock River Arms LAR-15M CAR A4 in .350 Legend is limited by its cartridge to roughly 200 yards on deer, and ammunition is less common and more expensive than 5.56 or 308. Ten-round magazines are also the practical standard here.
Shooters who want a general-purpose rifle should compare a 5.56 carbine, and hunters with no straight-wall restriction should look at a 308 in our catalog. Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred in accordance with federal and state law.
