Magnum Research 50 AE 300gr JHP – Powerful Desert Eagle Handgun Ammo, 20 Rounds

Description

Magnum Research 50 AE 300gr JHP ammunition is made for one of the most famous big-bore handguns in the world, the Magnum Research Desert Eagle in .50 Action Express. Magnum Research offers its own branded ammunition so Desert Eagle owners can find a load built with their pistol in mind. This box contains 20 rounds loaded with a 300 grain jacketed hollow point in boxer-primed brass cases. A jacketed hollow point expands on impact, which makes this load a strong choice for hunting hogs and deer at handgun distances where big-bore handguns are legal.

Why Owners Choose This 50 AE Ammo

• 300 grain jacketed hollow point bullet
• Loaded for the .50 Action Express cartridge
• Designed with the Desert Eagle in mind
• Boxer-primed brass cases
• Packed 20 rounds per box, item MR50JHP300B

Magnum Research 50 AE 300gr JHP Features

• 50 ae hollow point designed for controlled expansion
• Suited to handgun hunting of hogs and deer where legal
• Heavy 300 grain bullet carries serious momentum
• Also a fun range load for Desert Eagle owners

The .50 Action Express uses a rebated rim that matches the .44 Magnum case head, which is why a Desert Eagle can switch between calibers with a barrel and magazine change on many models. Its large, heavy bullets deliver dramatic recoil and muzzle blast, so new shooters should start slowly and use good hearing protection, ideally doubled up with plugs and muffs.

Keep the Desert Eagle clean and lightly lubricated, paying attention to the gas port and bolt. A clean gun cycles more reliably with any load, and the .50 AE produces enough fouling that regular cleaning makes a noticeable difference.

Handgun hunters appreciate the .50 AE for its ability to deliver heavy bullets with authority at moderate ranges. With a good optic or red dot mounted on the Desert Eagle’s rail, many hunters are comfortable taking hogs and deer out to 50 yards or so. Practice from field positions and know your own limits before hunting with any handgun.

Because .50 AE ammunition is costly and not always easy to find, many owners reserve full-power loads for hunting and special range days while practicing fundamentals with a smaller caliber. Having a few boxes of the same lot on hand makes sure your zero stays consistent when it counts.

Getting the Most From Desert Eagle Ammunition

The Desert Eagle is a gas-operated pistol with a rotating bolt, closer in design to a rifle than to most handguns. That design lets it handle the enormous pressure of the .50 AE, but it also means it prefers full-power ammunition. Desert Eagle ammunition from Magnum Research is built around that need, giving the gas system enough energy to cycle reliably.

Hold the pistol with a firm, high grip and keep your wrists locked. A loose grip can absorb some of the energy the action needs to cycle, which is one of the most common causes of malfunctions in big-bore semi-automatics.

Owners of the Magnum Research Desert Eagle in .50 AE, and other firearms chambered for the cartridge, who hunt or simply enjoy big-bore shooting will get the most from this load. Always wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local laws.

Store this ammunition in a cool, dry place in the original box so the lot number stays with it. The .50 AE is expensive to shoot, so many owners buy several boxes of the same lot at once for consistent performance.
