Description
The MAC 2 Tactical Walnut 12 Gauge shotgun is the Military Armament Corp MAC 2 Tactical with a black anodized receiver and Turkish walnut stock and forend. It is an inertia-driven semi-auto with an 18.5 inch barrel, 3 inch chamber, ghost ring sights and a receiver rail, made in Turkey and imported by SDS Arms.

MAC 2 Tactical Walnut 12 Gauge Overview
The MAC 2 follows the Benelli M2 pattern and MAC says most M2 aftermarket parts fit. Inertia operation means no gas ports or pistons; the bolt uses recoil energy to cycle. That keeps the action clean and the gun light, about 6.5 pounds. The barrel is chrome lined and threaded for Mobil chokes, with three tubes included. The rear ghost ring adjusts for windage and elevation and the front post has a white dot.
Inertia Operation
Inertia guns run cleanly and need little maintenance because no gas enters the action. The tradeoff is felt recoil: with full-power buckshot and slugs, a light inertia gun kicks harder than a gas gun. Light target loads may not cycle reliably until the gun is broken in, and a mounted light or heavy accessories can affect function, so test your setup.

Capacity
Distributors list this model as 5+1, while some list 4+1. Tube capacity drops with 3 inch shells. Count your rounds when you first load it and plan on 4+1 with magnum shells.
Walnut Stock
The Turkish walnut furniture gives the gun a classic look and good feel in cold weather. It needs occasional oil and a little more care than polymer if it gets wet. The wood stock is a fixed straight design suited to traditional mounting.

Sights, Rail and Chokes
The ghost ring is fast and accurate enough for slugs, and the receiver rail accepts a red dot. Reviewers noted the charging handle spins freely, which some shooters with limited hand strength find awkward. Pattern your loads through each choke.
Light and Handy
At about 6.5 pounds, the MAC 2 carries easily around a property or in a truck. Expect a single-stage trigger near 6 pounds with smooth creep and a short reset.
Breaking In and Maintenance
Shoot a box or two of full-power loads first so the action smooths out, then try lighter target loads. Inertia guns like a lightly oiled, clean bolt and a dry recoil spring tube. Keep the bolt and rails clean and avoid over-oiling, which can attract grit. Check the choke tube for tightness every few boxes.
Choosing Home Defense Loads
Reduced-recoil 00 buckshot is a good starting point in a light inertia gun, but confirm it cycles reliably in yours. Pattern it at 7, 15 and 25 yards, note where the pellets land relative to the sights, and keep the load that patterns tightest. Store the gun with the chamber empty and the tube loaded only where that is safe and legal in your household.
State Laws and Ownership
Some states regulate semi-auto shotgun features and tube capacity. Check your state and local rules before ordering.
