It has a 4 inch cold hammer-forged rotating barrel, a Sniper Gray Cerakote slide, AmeriGlo night sights, the LTT trigger job with a DLC-coated Optimized Performance trigger bar, and ships with one 20-round and two 17-round magazines.
Langdon Tactical PX4 Carry 9mm Overview
Ernest Langdon has called the PX4 one of the most underrated service pistols of modern times, and this package is his answer to its few weak points. LTT installs Beretta’s competition trigger group, low-profile stealth levers that are less likely to be bumped, an extended magazine release, a reduced-weight hammer spring and Talon rubber grip texture. The full-size PX4 polymer frame carries a Picatinny rail for a light. Distributor code LTTPX4FSS.
Rotating Barrel
The PX4 locks with a rotating barrel rather than the tilting barrel used in most pistols. The barrel stays in line with the bore axis, which many shooters feel as a straight-back, softer push in recoil. It is a proven design that also helps the PX4 shoot accurately. The tradeoff is a slightly taller slide than some striker pistols.
LTT Trigger and Levers
The LTT trigger job smooths the double action and shortens the single-action reset to about a tenth of an inch with the DLC trigger bar. The stealth levers act as a decocker and stay out of the way during a firm grip. Practice the long first double-action pull and decocking before holstering until it becomes habit.
Sights and Finish
AmeriGlo night sights glow in low light and give a clear picture in daylight. The Sniper Gray Cerakote slide finish is durable and looks distinctive. This model is not cut for an optic, so it is an iron-sight gun. If you want a red dot, look at newer optics-ready PX4 variants.
Size and Carry
At about 27.8 ounces and 7.5 inches long, this is a full-size pistol best suited to duty, home defense or open belt carry. It can be carried concealed by larger people with a good belt and holster. PX4 holsters are common, but confirm fit for the full-size frame and any weapon light.
Magazines and Capacity
Two 17-round flush magazines and one 20-round extended magazine are included. PX4 full-size magazines are widely available. Function-test your carry ammunition through each magazine before relying on the gun.
Care and Maintenance
The PX4 field strips quickly with the slide catch levers. Clean the rotating barrel cam lug and the slide rails, lightly oil the contact points, and avoid soaking the polymer frame in solvent. Replace the recoil spring on the schedule Beretta recommends for high round counts.
State Laws and Ownership
The 17- and 20-round magazines are restricted in capacity-limited states, and the PX4 configuration may not appear on every state roster. Confirm what is legal where you live before ordering.
