Langdon Hellcat Pro Comp OSP LTT Overview
Langdon partnered with APEX Tactical to improve the Hellcat line for everyday carry. The LTT version gets a smoother, lighter pull with a cleaner break and a shorter, more positive reset. The factory gun already offers a tritium front sight with a U-notch rear and an aggressive Adaptive Grip Texture. Integral Compensator
The Pro Comp vents gas upward through a port in the barrel and slide. That reduces muzzle rise and helps you track the dot between shots. The tradeoffs are real: more muzzle flash and blast, more carbon on the front of the slide and optic window, and the possibility of debris near your face if you fire from a retention position close to the body. Clean the port area regularly.
APEX Trigger Work
The LTT trigger job uses APEX components and gunsmith fitting to remove grit and stacking from the factory pull. A black APEX flat-faced trigger is installed. The trigger stays a striker-fired design with an integrated safety blade, so practice holster discipline and keep the trigger guard covered during carry.
Optics Ready Slide
The OSP slide accepts optics with the Shield RMSc footprint directly. LTT also offers adapter plates for Holosun K-series optics and a direct mount service. Choose a quality micro red dot and confirm the comp port stays clear. Iron sights remain usable if the optic fails.
Carry Size
With a 3.7 inch barrel, the Pro Comp is longer and taller than the original Hellcat but still slim enough for appendix or strong-side inside-the-waistband carry. Make sure your holster is cut for the Pro or Pro Comp and for your optic. The extended 17-round magazine adds grip length that some carriers trade back for the flush 15.
Who Should Choose the Comp
Shooters who practice often and want faster follow-up shots will notice the comp. If you shoot indoors, in low light or with hearing-sensitive companions, the standard Pro may be a better fit because of the extra blast.
Maintenance
Clean the comp port and the front of the slide after each session; carbon builds quickly there. A nylon brush and solvent loosen the deposits. Check the optic screws and the window for carbon buildup, since the port vents near the front of the slide.
State Laws and Ownership
The 15- and 17-round magazines are restricted in capacity-limited states, and some state rosters may not list this model. Check your local rules before ordering.
