Description
The KelTec KSG25 12 Gauge Tan is the desert tan version of the KSG25, KelTec’s big brother to the KSG with a 30.5 inch barrel and two long magazine tubes.

KelTec KSG25 12 Gauge Tan Overview
The KSG25 stretches the original KSG design so each of its two tubes holds 12 standard 2-3/4 inch shells, or 10 shells of the 3 inch length. Add one in the chamber and you reach the 25 rounds named in the store title. The barrel is 30.5 inches long, yet the shotgun measures only 38 inches overall because the action sits behind the trigger. This version has a tan polymer shell over the steel and aluminum internals.
How the Dual Tubes Work
Each tube feeds the chamber through a selector switch. Many owners keep birdshot or buckshot in one tube and slugs in the other. The trade-off is that you must remember to flip the selector when a tube runs dry, which takes practice under time pressure.
Why Choose the Long Barrel
A 30.5 inch barrel gives a longer sight plane and a bit more velocity than short defense barrels, and it makes the shotgun legal in places that set minimum barrel or overall lengths. The barrel is a cylinder bore, so patterns open quickly; a threaded muzzle lets you add a choke adapter for tighter patterns with buckshot.
Setting It Up
There are no factory sights. Mount a red dot or flip-up sights on an aftermarket rail, and use the M-LOK slots for a light or handstop. A two-point sling is almost essential, because a loaded KSG25 is heavy to carry by hand.
Running the Pump
Like all KSG models, the KSG25 ejects downward, so empties drop at your feet and the controls are ambidextrous. The pump stroke is long and should be worked firmly to the rear and fully forward. Expect a short learning curve if you come from a traditional pump shotgun.
Things to Know
Tan polymer can show dirt and scuffs more than black, and the shade may not match tan accessories from other makers exactly. The shotgun is heavy at about 9.25 pounds empty and over 11 when loaded. Its length makes it better suited to range work, competition and open property than to tight hallways.
Loading and Practice
Loading two long tubes takes time, so many shooters use a shell caddy at the range. Push each shell fully past the shell latch and keep track of which tube you filled. Dry practice with snap caps is a good way to build the habit of switching tubes and running the pump to the stops before using live ammunition.
State Laws and Ownership
Some jurisdictions restrict shotguns with large capacity or features such as bullpup designs, and a few regulate tube capacity. Check your state and local rules before ordering, and ask your receiving FFL if you have questions.
