KelTec KSG NR 12 Gauge OD Green Overview
The KSG-NR keeps the dual-tube bullpup layout that made the KSG famous, with an 18.5 inch barrel in a shotgun only 26.1 inches long. Instead of the full-length bottom rail, it has a molded foregrip with a built-in light, and a Picatinny rail on top for an optic. KelTec lists 4+4+1 with 3 inch shells. The distributor lists the light at 430 lumens while KelTec quotes about 450 lumens for the current compact.
Built-In Light
The integrated weapon light sits in the foregrip with a momentary switch under your support hand, so you can identify a target without a separate light mount. It makes the KSG-NR a ready-to-go home defense shotgun out of the box. Check the batteries regularly and practice using the switch.
Compact Without NFA Paperwork
An 18.5 inch barrel keeps the KSG-NR a standard shotgun, so there is no tax stamp or wait as with a short-barreled shotgun, yet it is shorter than most tactical pumps. That makes it easy to move through doorways and to store in a closet safe.
Bottom Ejection for Either Hand

Lower capacity than the standard KSG is the price of the shorter tubes. Bullpup pumps have a long stroke and a heavier trigger than a classic pump, and short-stroking is easy if you do not run the slide fully. Accessories are more limited than for traditional pump shotguns.
Upkeep
Clean the action and barrel after shooting, and keep a light film of oil on the slide bars. Test the light before each use and replace its batteries on a schedule. If you store the shotgun loaded for home defense where legal, unload and inspect the shells periodically and keep it secured from children and unauthorized users.
