Description
The Glock 19 Gen 6 COA is the most significant redesign the Glock 19 has received in years. It ships with an Aimpoint COA red dot already mounted through the new DC8 interface, wears RTF6 grip texture and front slide serrations, and comes with three fifteen-round magazines in the box.

What Is New on the Glock 19 Gen 6 COA
Earlier optic-ready Glocks relied on adapter plates that added height and introduced another point of failure. The Glock 19 Gen 6 COA replaces that stack with the DC8 COA system, which seats the Aimpoint enclosed-emitter dot directly and low into the slide. The result is a sight picture that lines up with the factory irons rather than floating above them, and a mount that will not shift under recoil.
Aimpoint COA Optic Included
Buying a pistol and an enclosed-emitter optic separately is an expensive exercise, and getting them zeroed together is another. Here the work is done. The enclosed housing keeps lint, rain and snow off the emitter, which is the single most common cause of a dot going dark on a carry gun. Battery life is measured in years, so the Glock 19 Gen 6 COA can simply be left on.
RTF6 Texture and Reworked Ergonomics
The Glock 19 Gen 6 COA frame carries aggressive RTF6 texturing along with an integrated thumb rest, which helps lock the support hand in place and fights muzzle rise. Interchangeable backstraps let you tune the grip length to your hand. Front slide serrations make press checks and administrative manipulations far easier than on earlier generations, especially with gloves or wet hands.
Familiar Glock 19 Dimensions
Nothing about the footprint of the Glock 19 Gen 6 COA has grown. Barrel length stays at 4.02 inches, overall length is 6.85 inches and the pistol weighs 21.16 ounces empty, so existing holsters that clear an optic will generally still work. Capacity remains 15+1, and three magazines ship in the case. The striker-fired Safe Action trigger breaks at roughly 5.5 pounds.
Sights and Slide Finish
A white dot front and white outline rear provide backup irons behind the dot on the Glock 19 Gen 6 COA. The slide wears a matte black nDLC finish that resists corrosion and holster wear far better than the older Tenifer treatments. Practically speaking, the Glock 19 Gen 6 COA is built to be carried hard rather than kept in a safe.

Who Should Buy It
This is a strong choice for concealed carriers who want a red dot without a build project, for duty users who need an enclosed emitter that survives weather, and for anyone upgrading from a Gen 3 or Gen 4 who wants the modern texture and serrations.
The trade-offs are worth stating plainly. The included optic pushes the price well above a standard Glock 19, and if you already own a preferred dot you are paying for one you may not use. The DC8 interface is proprietary, so optic swaps are limited compared to a universal plate system. RTF6 texture is grippy to the point of being abrasive against bare skin, and some shooters find the thumb rest changes their grip in ways they dislike. Holster selection for an enclosed-emitter Glock is still narrower than for a bare slide.
For most buyers those are small prices to pay for a turnkey optic pistol. Compare it with the rest of our handguns in the firearms catalog, or read the factory specifications at GLOCK.
