Description
The GForce Arms GF5 Filthy Pheasant is a 20 gauge over/under with 28-inch barrels, Turkish walnut furniture, a nickel-finished alloy receiver and five choke tubes. At 6.1 pounds it is built for walking, which is exactly what its name suggests.
Built for Walking Birds Up
Upland hunting is mostly walking. A shotgun that weighs seven and a half pounds feels fine at the truck and considerably less fine four miles later. At 6.1 pounds the GForce Arms GF5 Filthy Pheasant sits in the weight class that makes a full day comfortable, helped by an aluminum alloy receiver rather than steel.
28-Inch Barrels with Ventilated Rib
Twenty-eight inches is the classic upland barrel length, long enough to swing smoothly through a crossing bird and short enough to handle in cover. A ventilated rib runs the length of the top barrel with a fiber optic HiViz front bead. The barrels are 4140 steel finished in black, contrasting with the nickel receiver for a clean two-tone look.
Five Chokes, Benelli Mobil Thread
Cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified and full tubes all ship with the gun. That is a complete set rather than the usual three, and it covers everything from tight cover to pass shooting. Threads are the widely used Benelli Mobil pattern, so replacement and specialist tubes are cheap and easy to find. Very few shotguns at this price include five chokes.
Turkish Walnut Stock and Forend
Both stock and forend are Turkish walnut, the same timber used on shotguns costing several times as much. Walnut absorbs recoil better than synthetic and looks far better doing it. Length of pull is 14 inches, the standard adult dimension, and a ventilated rubber recoil pad soaks up what little a 20 gauge produces.
Twenty Gauge and 3-Inch Chambers
Twenty gauge is the sweet spot for upland hunting: enough payload for pheasant and quail, light enough recoil that you shoot it well all day. Chambers take both 2.75 and 3-inch shells, so heavier loads are available when you need them. Overall length is 45.5 inches with a two-round capacity, and the GForce Arms GF5 Filthy Pheasant uses extractors that lift fired hulls for removal by hand.

Who Should Buy It
This is an upland gun for pheasant, quail, grouse and dove, and it is a strong first over/under for a new shooter or a young adult. The light weight, mild recoil and complete choke set make it versatile straight out of the box.
The GForce Arms GF5 Filthy Pheasant uses extractors rather than ejectors, so fired hulls must be pulled out by hand rather than thrown clear. A light gun also recoils more sharply than a heavy one with the same load, and 20 gauge gives up payload to 12.
High-volume clays shooters should compare a heavier 12 gauge, and anyone who wants automatic ejectors should look at a higher-tier over/under in our catalog. Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred in accordance with federal and state law.
