Description
The FAIR Iside II 16 Gauge is a traditional Italian side-by-side with 28-inch barrels, a color case hardened and engraved receiver, a straight English stock and double triggers. It weighs about 6.4 pounds and looks like a gun costing several times as much.
A Proper Side-by-Side, Built in Italy
Side-by-side shotguns went out of fashion because over/unders are cheaper to build to a given standard. Fabbrica Armi Isidoro Rizzini kept making them properly, and the Iside is the result. The FAIR Iside II 16 Gauge carries the low, wide sighting plane that makes a side-by-side point so naturally, along with the slim, balanced feel that no stack-barrelled gun quite matches.
Straight English Stock
The stock is walnut with a straight English grip rather than a pistol grip. That is the traditional configuration for a double-trigger gun, because the hand slides back naturally to reach the rear trigger for the second shot. Fine-pitch checkering gives grip without abrading bare hands, and the whole thing is cut to the proportions upland shooters have used for a century.
Double Triggers
Two triggers means instant choke selection. The front trigger fires the right barrel with the open choke, the rear fires the left with the tighter one, and you decide which you need as the bird flushes rather than fumbling a selector switch. It is the simplest, fastest and most reliable arrangement on a double gun, and it is why traditionalists still ask for it.
TechniChoke XP50 System
Despite the classic looks, the FAIR Iside II 16 Gauge uses a modern interchangeable choke system. Cylinder, improved cylinder and modified tubes ship with the gun, covering everything from close-flushing woodcock to decoying birds. That combination of traditional handling and modern chokes is unusual, and it makes the gun far more versatile than a fixed-choke classic.
Color Case Hardened and Engraved
The receiver is color case hardened with engraving, a finish that produces the mottled blues, greys and straw colours that no modern coating replicates. It is a genuine heat treatment rather than a printed pattern, so it develops character with age rather than wearing off.
Why 16 Gauge
Sixteen carries like a 20 and patterns like a light 12, and on a true 16 gauge frame the gun stays genuinely light. At 6.4 pounds this one is a joy to carry across a long day of walking, which is exactly what upland hunting demands. Three-inch chambers give the flexibility to use heavier loads when conditions call for them.

Who Should Buy It
This is a walking upland gun for someone who cares how a shotgun handles and looks as much as how it patterns. Grouse, woodcock, quail and pheasant hunters, and anyone who simply prefers a double gun, are the audience.
The FAIR Iside II 16 Gauge fires a gauge that is less common than 12 or 20, so ammunition costs more and specialist loads are harder to find. Double triggers also take practice, and a light gun recoils more sharply than a heavy one with the same load.
High-volume clays shooters should compare an over/under, and anyone wanting the widest ammunition choice should look at a 20 gauge in our catalog. Every firearm we list ships to your chosen FFL and is transferred in accordance with federal and state law.
