Description

The Federal 303 British 150gr JSP load is built for shooters who want more from their .303 British than typical factory ammunition delivers. Federal loads a 150 grain jacketed soft point to a rated 2690 feet per second, producing about 2410 foot-pounds of energy. Power-Shok soft points use a tapered copper jacket and a lead core designed for controlled expansion and consistent energy transfer on deer-sized game.

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance Federal builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the Federal 303 British 150gr JSP until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

The .303 British was adopted by the British Army in 1888 and served as the standard rifle cartridge of the British Commonwealth through both World Wars. Millions of Lee-Enfield rifles remain in the hands of collectors and hunters today, and a quality soft point load lets these historic rifles continue to take deer and other game.
