Why Choose the Federal 28 ga 3/4oz #8 High Over All

• 3/4 oz of hard #8 lead shot
• Rated 1250 fps muzzle velocity
• 2-3/4 in 28 gauge hull, 2 dram equivalent
• Premium wad for consistent patterns
• 25 rounds per box, item HOA288

Built for Competition Clays

• Designed with input from top clay target competitors
• Hard shot resists deformation for tighter patterns
• Soft recoil for long tournament days
• Suited to skeet and sporting clays

Patterning your shotgun with a new load is the best way to know how it performs. Shoot a few rounds at a large sheet of paper at 25 to 35 yards with the choke you plan to hunt with, and check that the densest part of the pattern lines up with your point of aim. Trying a tighter or more open choke can make a real difference on fast, close birds.

Store shotshells in a cool, dry place in their original box, and keep loads with different shot sizes separated so you always grab the right shell in the field. Buying enough from the same lot for the whole season keeps velocity and pattern consistent from one hunt to the next, so your practice carries over to the field.

Trap, skeet and sporting clays have grown into some of the most popular shooting sports in the country, with leagues at local clubs and high school teams competing every season. Each discipline rewards consistency, and using the same reliable target load every round helps shooters build a smooth swing and a repeatable sight picture from station to station.

Why Choose Federal 28 Gauge Shotshells

Serious skeet shooters need 28 ga target loads that pattern the same from the first station to the last. Federal High Over All delivers 3/4 ounce of hard #8 shot at 1250 fps with the consistency competitors rely on.

These 28 ga skeet loads use a premium wad and hard shot that holds its shape, giving dense, even patterns that break targets cleanly. The light recoil of the 28 gauge makes it a pleasure to shoot all day and a favorite for sub-gauge skeet events.

Federal Premium has made ammunition in Anoka, Minnesota since 1922, and its High Over All line was designed with input from top clay target competitors. Many skeet and sporting clays shooters choose federal 28 ga ammo from this line for its smooth recoil, consistent patterns and reliable ignition in competition guns.

These shotshells are a good fit for skeet and sporting clays shooters using 28 gauge over-under, semi-automatic and sub-gauge tube set shotguns, from casual club shooters to serious competitors. Always confirm your shotgun is chambered for 2-3/4 in 28 Gauge shells, wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local hunting laws.
