Description
The EAA Bounty Hunter 22 LR 22 WMR is a single action revolver built by Weihrauch in Germany, and it ships as a two calibre gun. Two cylinders come with it, one for 22 Long Rifle and one for 22 WMR, so the same revolver goes from a cheap afternoon of plinking to a serious small game and predator handgun by swapping a part.
EAA Bounty Hunter 22 LR 22 WMR Barrel, Cylinders and Capacity
The barrel is 6.75 inches, which is the length that gives a 22 rimfire the full velocity the cartridge can produce and a long enough sight radius to actually take advantage of it. It also balances the revolver nicely in the hand for offhand shooting.
Capacity is eight rounds rather than the traditional six. In a rimfire that extra pair of chambers is genuinely useful, and it is one of the reasons this design has stayed popular for small game hunting rather than just cowboy shooting.
The 22 WMR cylinder is the part that changes what this revolver is for. 22 Long Rifle is a squirrel and target round, while 22 WMR roughly doubles the energy and turns the same gun into a legitimate option for coyotes and raccoons at handgun distances.
Action, Safety and Grips
The action is single action only, meaning the hammer is thumbed back for each shot in the traditional way. Weihrauch adds modern safety engineering underneath, with a transfer bar, a hammer resting notch and recessed chambers, so the revolver can be safely carried with all chambers loaded rather than on an empty chamber like an original Colt pattern gun.
The grips are walnut, which suits the profile of the gun and fills the hand better than the plastic panels usually found at this price. The whole revolver wears a blued finish.

Why Weihrauch Matters Here
Weihrauch has been building precision sporting arms in Germany since 1899, and the difference shows up in the details of a single action revolver. Cylinder timing, chamber alignment and the fit of the action are all better than the price suggests, and those are exactly the things that determine whether a revolver shoots well or just looks the part.
The transfer bar system is the other reason to prefer a modern made single action. Original pattern revolvers had to be carried with an empty chamber under the hammer, and this one does not.
Why Buyers Choose the EAA Bounty Hunter 22 LR 22 WMR
Two calibres in one gun is the headline. A 22 LR cylinder for volume practice and a 22 WMR cylinder for hunting means one purchase covers both jobs, and rimfire ammunition is cheap enough that the practice actually happens.
The single action format is the other draw. Thumbing the hammer for each shot slows you down deliberately, and for teaching new shooters or for plinking at cans on a summer evening, that is entirely the point.
Who Should Buy It
The EAA Bounty Hunter 22 LR 22 WMR suits small game hunters, plinkers who want something with more character than a semi automatic, cowboy action shooters looking for an affordable rimfire practice gun, and anyone teaching a new shooter deliberate, one shot at a time fundamentals. It also makes a sensible trail gun in 22 WMR.
