EAA Balikli Blue Label 28 Gauge 26 in Overview
The Blue Label is built in Turkey by Balikli and brought in by European American Armory. It aims to give you the look and feel of a classic field over and under, with walnut, engraving and a Schnabel forend, at a price far below the big name guns. It is light enough to carry all day in the uplands.
Receiver and Engraving
The receiver is aluminum to keep weight down, with a steel insert at the rear of the action for durability where the barrels lock up. It carries pheasant engraving on the sides. Aluminum receivers wear faster than steel under very high round counts, so this is best as a field gun and occasional clays gun rather than a high volume competition gun.
Barrels, Rib and Sights
The 26 inch barrels are back bored and joined by a skeletonized mid rib, with a ventilated, serrated top rib to cut glare. A red fiber optic front sight is quick to pick up. Reviewers report close to a 50/50 point of impact.
