DoubleTap 45 Colt +P 360gr Hardcast – Powerful 45 Colt +P Hunting Ammo, 1200 fps, 20 Rounds

Description

The DoubleTap 45 Colt +P 360gr Hardcast load is built for shooters who want more from their 45 Colt +P than typical factory ammunition delivers. DoubleTap loads a 360 grain Hardcast Solid wide flat nose gas check bullet to a rated 1200 feet per second, producing about 1151 foot-pounds of energy from a 7.5 inch barrel.

This load runs at about 27,500 psi, far above standard 45 Colt pressure, so DoubleTap limits it to strong modern firearms such as newer Ruger Blackhawk and Redhawk revolvers, BFR, Freedom Arms, Colt Anaconda, TC Contender and Winchester or Marlin lever actions built for it.

Why Choose the DoubleTap 45 Colt +P 360gr Hardcast

• 360 grain Hardcast Solid WFNGC bullet
• Rated 1200 fps, 1151 ft-lbs (7.5 in barrel)
• About 1495 fps from a 16.5 in carbine
• About 1000 fps from a 2.5 in Ruger Alaskan
• 20 rounds per box, item 45P360HC

Built for Big Game and Bear Country

• Protection from bears and other large animals
• Handgun and carbine hunting of large game where legal
• Strong modern revolvers rated for heavy 45 Colt loads
• Lever-action carbines built for +P 45 Colt

Heavy +P 45 Colt loads produce serious recoil, so practice with standard-pressure 45 Colt ammunition to build skill, then confirm your point of impact with the DoubleTap 45 Colt +P 360gr Hardcast from a steady rest before you head afield.

Buying ammunition by the box from the same production lot keeps velocity and point of impact consistent from one range trip to the next. Keep a record of the load you carry, check your ammunition for dents or loose bullets from time to time, and rotate your carry rounds so the ones in your firearm stay fresh. These simple habits help you get the full performance DoubleTap builds into every cartridge.

Before you trust any new load, fire enough rounds through your firearm to confirm it feeds, fires and ejects reliably and that the point of impact matches your sights. Full-power loads produce more recoil and muzzle blast than typical range ammo, so practice with the DoubleTap 45 Colt +P 360gr Hardcast until you are comfortable with it, and store the rest in a cool, dry place in the original box.

Why Choose DoubleTap 45 Colt +P Ammo

A heavy, non-expanding hardcast bullet keeps its full weight and shape, so it can break heavy bone and penetrate deeply on large animals. DoubleTap rates this 360 grain load at 1200 fps and 1151 foot-pounds from a 7.5 inch barrel, about 1495 fps from a 16.5 inch carbine and about 1000 fps from a short 2.5 inch Ruger Alaskan.

When you compare 45 colt +p hunting ammo, safety comes first. This 45 colt +p 360 grain hardcast load is not a standard-pressure cartridge and must never be fired in Colt Single Action Army style revolvers, older guns, reproductions or any firearm not on the maker list. Check with your firearm maker if you are unsure.

DoubleTap Ammunition is an American company known for loading popular calibers to their full potential, especially the 10mm Auto and other magnum handgun rounds. Doubletap 45 colt +p ammo is loaded with quality components and brass cases, and many shooters choose it when they want the performance a caliber was designed for rather than a reduced-power range load.

Hunters and outdoorsmen who carry a strong, modern 45 Colt revolver or lever gun in bear country will find this a confident choice. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for 45 Colt +P, wear eye and ear protection, and follow all federal, state and local laws.
