Derya DY12 Namlu 12ga 20 Overview
The DY12 Namlu is a Derya semi-auto shotgun. It cycles itself for fast follow up shots and softer felt recoil than a pump.
Action and Controls
The DY12 Namlu is a semi-auto shotgun. It holds 5+1 rounds. The safety is ambidextrous safety lever. This is a ambidextrous model.
Barrel and Chokes
The 20 inch barrel is steel with a threaded profile. The chamber accepts 3″ shells. Sights are Flip Up Front & Rear.
Stock and Fit
The stock is polymer with a black finish. The length of pull is Adjustable. Metal surfaces wear Black Anodized and Black Melonite.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 39.10″. It weighs about 8 lbs. Mount the gun the same way every time and let your eyes lead the muzzle to the target.
Ammo and Practice
Use target loads for clays, the right shot size for the birds you hunt, and buckshot or slugs only where they fit the job. Pattern the gun with each load at the distances you expect to shoot.
The 12 gauge
The 12 gauge is the most versatile shotgun gauge, handling everything from light target loads to heavy waterfowl, turkey and defense loads.
Upland Birds and Waterfowl
This shotgun suits upland birds, doves and waterfowl, and it works fine for a round of clays. Federal law requires nontoxic shot for waterfowl.
Accessories
A sling, a case, extra choke tubes and a good recoil pad make a shotgun easier to live with. Hunters should add shell carriers and blaze orange or camo gear as the season requires.
Buying Tips
Pattern your gun with each choke and load you plan to use, and check that the length of pull fits you.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Derya holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
