Description
The CZ 75 TS Orange Tactical Sport is a factory built competition pistol rather than a service gun with a longer slide. CZ hand fits the barrel and the slide, tunes the single action trigger and hangs orange aluminium grips off a full size steel frame, and the result is a pistol most shooters will never outgrow.
CZ 75 TS Orange Tactical Sport Frame, Slide and Fit
The frame is steel with a black polycoat finish, and the weight is the point. A steel framed competition pistol soaks up recoil in a way a polymer gun cannot, and in 40 S&W that difference is easy to feel between the second and third shot of a string.
The slide is hand fitted to the frame and the barrel is hand fitted and polished. That fitting work is what separates a competition pistol from a standard one, and it is the reason these shoot the groups they do straight out of the box.
Trigger, Sights and Controls
The action is single action only with a tuned competition trigger, so the hammer is cocked and the trigger breaks the same way every time rather than running a long double action first shot. There is a manual safety and a hammer safety notch, which is the correct arrangement for a pistol carried cocked and locked in a holster on a range.
Sights are a fibre optic front and a checkered rear. Fibre optic is the right choice for competition, because it gathers ambient light and gives you a bright aiming point that the eye finds quickly on a transition between targets.
The magazine well is an aluminium funnel, which is not a cosmetic addition. It guides a magazine in cleanly under time pressure, and it is one of the first upgrades competitors add to a pistol that does not have one.

Why 40 S&W in a Competition Pistol
40 S&W makes major power factor in USPSA and IPSC without the pressure and load development a 9mm major setup requires. For a Limited or Standard Division shooter that is the entire argument, and it is why the calibre has kept a following in competition long after it faded from duty use.
The extra recoil that makes 40 S&W unpleasant in a light carry gun is largely absorbed by a full size steel frame. In this pistol it feels closer to a firm push than a snap, and split times stay quick once you have practised with it.
Why Buyers Choose the CZ 75 TS Orange Tactical Sport
The hand fitting is the reason. Very few factory pistols at any price are assembled with the barrel and slide fitted individually, and it is work that cannot be replicated by bolting on parts later.
The rest is a competition specification that would otherwise be an aftermarket project. A tuned single action trigger, a magazine funnel, fibre optic sights and aluminium grips are all included, and the CZ 75 lockwork underneath them has been proven in competition for decades.
Who Should Buy It
The CZ 75 TS Orange Tactical Sport suits USPSA and IPSC competitors shooting Limited or Standard Division, steel challenge shooters who want a soft shooting full size pistol, and anyone who wants a range gun built to a standard rather than a price. It is a heavy pistol and it is not intended for concealed carry.
