CZ 75 BD 50th Anniversary 10 Round 9mm Pistol – Flawless 4.6 in. Black with Decocker

Description

The CZ 75 BD 50th Anniversary 10 Round celebrates five decades of one of the most copied pistol designs ever made. It is an all-steel, double-action/single-action 9mm with a decocker, Black Polycoat finish, anniversary engraving and 10-round magazines that suit capacity-restricted states.

CZ 75 BD 50th Anniversary 10 Round Overview

This is CZ part 01118. The CZ 75 BD is the decocker version of the classic CZ 75 B: instead of a manual safety it has a frame-mounted decocking lever that safely lowers the hammer, so you carry it hammer down and fire the first shot double action. The 4.6-inch barrel sits in a steel frame, overall length is 8.1 inches and weight is 35.3 ounces. Sights are fixed three-dot, grips are black plastic, and it ships with two 10-round magazines for 10+1 capacity.

Fifty Years of the CZ 75

Designed in what was then Czechoslovakia and introduced in 1975, the CZ 75 pioneered features that are common today: a slide that rides inside the frame rails, a double-stack 9mm magazine and a hammer-fired DA/SA trigger. Its low bore axis and steel weight make it soft-shooting and accurate, which is why so many competition and service pistols trace their lineage to it. The 50th Anniversary run adds commemorative engraving to the standard production pistol.

Decocker Versus Manual Safety

The BD suits shooters who like a long, deliberate double-action first pull and a lighter single-action follow-up without a safety lever to remember. If you prefer to carry cocked and locked, the standard 75 B with a manual safety is the better pick. Practice the transition from the heavier first shot to the lighter second shot; it is the main skill DA/SA pistols demand.

10-Round Magazine Version

Many states, including California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Washington and others, limit magazine capacity, and a factory 10-round configuration avoids blocked or pinned magazines. The CZ 75 frame also accepts 16-round magazines where they are legal, but buyers in restricted states must not add them.

Shooting and Ownership

At 35 ounces the BD absorbs 9mm recoil well, making it pleasant for long range sessions and easy for new shooters to control. The steel frame will outlast a lifetime of practice ammunition. Holsters are widely available because the CZ 75 B and BD share a common outline, and aftermarket springs, sights and trigger parts are plentiful.

Honest Caveats

This is a full-size, heavy pistol, so it carries less comfortably than a polymer compact. The fixed three-dot sights are serviceable but not night sights. Engraved anniversary models are made for a limited time, and some buyers may prefer to keep them as collectibles rather than daily carry guns. CZ firearms are made in the Czech Republic, and parts sometimes take time to arrive.

State Laws and Ownership

Handgun laws vary widely. Some states require purchase permits or licenses, some maintain approved handgun rosters, and many limit magazine capacity. Check your state and local laws, including any roster, before ordering. Handguns ship only to a licensed dealer in your state of residence.
