Christensen Summit TI 65 Creedmoor 24 Overview
The Summit TI is a Christensen bolt action rifle. A bolt action is simple, strong and accurate, which is why it remains the top choice for hunting and precision shooting.
Action and Controls
The Summit TI is a bolt action rifle. It holds 4 rounds. The safety is thumb safety.
Barrel
The 24 inch barrel has a 1-In-8″ twist. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24.
Stock and Fit
The stock is synthetic stock. Check the length of pull against your own fit, especially if you shoot in heavy clothing. Metal surfaces wear Stainless.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 44.5″. It weighs about 5.5 lbs. A steady rest, a good sling and practice from field positions will help you shoot it well.
Ammo and Practice
Try a few brands and bullet weights to see what groups best in this rifle, then buy enough of that load to practice and hunt with the same ammo.
The 6.5 Creedmoor
The 6.5 Creedmoor offers mild recoil, high ballistic coefficient bullets and excellent long range accuracy.
Deer Hunting and More
This rifle suits deer hunting and, depending on caliber, hogs, black bear and other game. Confirm your zero before the season and know your effective range.
Optics and Accessories
Plan on quality scope rings or mounts, a sling, a hard or soft case and a cleaning kit. A bipod or shooting sticks help a lot for steady shots in the field or at the bench.
Buying Tips
Budget for quality optics or sights, a sling and ammo, and confirm your zero at the distances you expect to shoot.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Christensen holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Mount your optic, bore sight it, then fire your first groups at 25 yards before moving to 100. Let the barrel cool between strings, and record your zero and the load you used. Wear eye and ear protection, keep the muzzle in a safe direction, and clean the bore when you get home.
