CCI Maxi-Mag 22 WMR 40gr JHP – Reliable Varmint Rimfire Ammo, 1875 fps, 50 Rounds

Description

The CCI Maxi-Mag 22 WMR 40gr JHP load is one of the most popular .22 Magnum rounds ever made. CCI drives a 40 grain jacketed hollow point at a rated 1875 feet per second, giving you significantly more speed, reach and energy than a .22 LR. The hollow point transfers energy quickly on impact, making this a dependable choice for groundhogs, raccoons, foxes and other varmints around farms, ranches and homesteads.

Why Choose the CCI Maxi-Mag 22 WMR 40gr JHP

• 40 grain jacketed hollow point bullet
• Rated 1875 fps muzzle velocity
• Fast energy transfer on impact
• Clean-burning propellant and CCI priming
• 50 rounds per box, CCI 0024

Built for Varmints and Pests

• More reach and power than .22 LR
• Hollow point expands for decisive hits
• Reliable cycling in semi-auto .22 Magnum rifles
• Works in bolt, lever and revolver platforms

Shot placement matters with any rimfire load. Aim for the head or just behind the shoulder on varmints, and keep shots within the range where you can reliably hit a small target, typically inside 100 to 125 yards for most .22 Magnum rifles.

Rimfire bullets can travel well over a mile, so always confirm a safe backstop. Store the box in a cool, dry place. CCI has built rimfire ammunition in Lewiston, Idaho for decades and is known for consistent quality from box to box.

Clean your bore after long sessions, since jacketed bullets can build copper fouling that affects accuracy over time.

Groundhogs, raccoons and foxes can cause real damage to gardens, crops and poultry, and a .22 Magnum rifle loaded with this ammunition is a practical tool for dealing with them. The flatter trajectory compared with a .22 LR makes hits easier at 75 to 100 yards, and the modest report is less disruptive than a centerfire rifle when working near homes and livestock.

Most bolt-action, lever-action and semi-auto .22 Magnum rifles shoot this load well, but every rifle has its own preferences. Zero your scope with the same ammunition you plan to hunt with, and practice from field positions such as sitting and kneeling so you are ready when an opportunity comes.

Because it is one of the most widely used .22 Magnum loads, it is also a smart choice for keeping on hand as an all-around rimfire round for the truck or barn.

Why Hunters Rely on 22 Magnum Hollow Point Ammo

The .22 Magnum fills the gap between the .22 LR and centerfire varmint rounds. A 22 magnum hollow point like this one hits hard enough for medium-sized varmints at reasonable distances, while recoil and noise stay low enough for all-day use around the farm.

The maxi-mag hp has been a benchmark 22 wmr varmint ammo for decades because it combines consistent accuracy with reliable expansion. Clean-burning powder helps keep semi-auto actions running smoothly through long sessions.

For small game you plan to eat, consider a soft point or total metal jacket load to limit meat damage.

Farmers, ranchers and varmint hunters who shoot a .22 Magnum rifle or revolver will get dependable performance from this 50-round box. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for .22 WMR, know what is beyond your target, and follow all federal, state and local hunting laws.
