Description
The CCI Maxi-Mag TNT 22 WMR 30gr JHP load combines the speed of a lightweight .22 Magnum bullet with the explosive TNT hollow point design. CCI drives this 30 grain jacketed hollow point at a rated 2200 feet per second, making it one of the fastest .22 WMR loads available. The high velocity means minimal mid-range rise and easier long-range hits, while the TNT bullet is built to expand violently on impact for quick results on prairie dogs, ground squirrels and other varmints.
Why Choose the CCI Maxi-Mag TNT 22 WMR 30gr JHP
- 30 grain TNT jacketed hollow point
- Rated 2200 fps muzzle velocity
- Explosive expansion on impact
- Flat trajectory with minimal mid-range rise
- 50 rounds per box, CCI 0063
Built for Varmint Control
- Extreme velocity for longer rimfire shots
- Rapid expansion for decisive hits on small pests
- Consistent CCI priming, propellant and brass
- Proven TNT bullet design
Lighter, faster bullets can shift point of impact compared with 40 grain .22 Magnum loads, so zero your scope with this load before heading to the field. Once zeroed, practice at several distances to learn your holdover.
Rimfire bullets can travel well over a mile, so always confirm a safe backstop before taking any shot. Store the ammunition in its original box in a cool, dry place. CCI has built rimfire ammunition in Lewiston, Idaho for decades and is known for consistent quality from box to box.
Shot placement still matters on small varmints. Keep shots within the distance where you can reliably hit a target the size of a prairie dog, and use a solid rest such as a bipod or shooting sticks whenever possible. Light wind can push a 30 grain bullet noticeably at longer ranges, so watch grass and dust for clues before each shot.
Most bolt-action, lever-action and semi-auto .22 Magnum rifles run this load well, but every rifle has its own preferences. Test accuracy and function in your own firearm before a big day in the field, and bring enough ammunition, since busy dog towns can go through several boxes quickly.
Clean your bore after long sessions, since fast jacketed bullets can build copper fouling that affects accuracy over time.

Why Varmint Hunters Choose 22 WMR TNT
Prairie dogs and ground squirrels are small targets, often at the edge of rimfire range. This 22 wmr tnt load helps by shooting flatter than heavier .22 Magnum bullets, so holdover is easier to judge and hits come more often at longer distances. That makes it a favorite among 22 mag varmint ammo choices for dog towns and pasture pest control.
The TNT hollow point is built to open up fast on small, light-bodied animals. Rapid expansion transfers energy quickly and reduces the chance of wounded animals escaping into burrows. Because the bullet expands so aggressively, it is not the best pick for small game you plan to eat.
If you want fast 22 magnum ammo for longer shots, the combination of a light bullet and high velocity is hard to beat in a rimfire.
Varmint hunters, farmers and ranchers dealing with burrowing pests will get flat-shooting, dependable performance from this 50-round box. Always confirm your firearm is chambered for .22 WMR, know what is beyond your target, and follow all federal, state and local hunting laws.
