Description

CCI Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr 100 Round value box of Blazer Brass 9mm Luger ammo

CCI Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr 100 Round value box gives you the same Blazer Brass practice load used by ranges and training classes across the country, packed 100 rounds to a box instead of 50. It loads a 115 grain full metal jacket bullet in reloadable brass, and it is CCI item 52001BB.

Who Makes CCI Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr 100 Round

CCI, based in Lewiston, Idaho, is best known for its rimfire ammunition and primers. Its Blazer line was created to give shooters affordable centrefire practice ammunition, and Blazer Brass adds new brass cases with standard boxer primers to that formula.

The 100 round value box is the middle ground between a single 50 round box and a full case. It suits shooters who practise regularly but do not want to store a case, and it is a convenient size for a single range session or a class day.

The 115 grain FMJ is the standard 9mm practice bullet. It is light, fast and inexpensive, and its recoil and point of impact are close to many common defensive loads, so it is a sensible way to train.

Because CCI Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr 100 Round uses the exact same load as the Blazer Brass 50 round boxes and 1000 round cases, you can mix boxes from different purchases without changing your zero or your feel for the recoil. That consistency is a large part of why it is so popular for training.

Specifications and Performance

CCI lists Blazer Brass 9mm 115 grain at 1,145 fps at the muzzle, 1,058 fps at 50 yards and 994 fps at 100 yards. Those numbers come from a test barrel; compact pistols run a little slower and pistol caliber carbines somewhat faster.

The brass cased rounds are boxer primed with standard primer pockets, so reloaders can collect the empties. The non-corrosive primers and clean-burning powder keep fouling down over a long day, which helps with reliability in hard-used pistols.

In practical terms, CCI Blazer Brass 9mm 115gr 100 Round feeds reliably in the vast majority of modern 9mm pistols, including striker fired service pistols, hammer fired double action guns and most pistol caliber carbines. As with any ammunition, run a box through a new gun before you rely on it.

Field Notes

FMJ bullets are for practice, not self defence or hunting. They do not expand, so carry a quality hollow point and use this as your training ammunition. Regularly shoot a few rounds of your carry load as well, so you know how it handles.

Most indoor ranges accept this kind of FMJ, but some have rules on bullet type or require you to leave brass behind. Check before you go.

If you shoot a lot, a full case of Blazer Brass lowers the cost per round further, while this value box is easier to store and carry. Either way, keeping to one load for practice helps you build consistent habits.

Store ammunition cool and dry. Buyers must be at least 21 for handgun ammunition from a licensed dealer under federal law, and some states add extra rules for ammunition purchases.
