Description

The Browning Cynergy CX 12 Gauge 32 inch is the crossover model in the Cynergy line, built to shoot clays on Saturday and hunt on Sunday without being a compromise at either. The 32-inch back-bored barrels give a long, steady swing, the receiver sits noticeably lower than a conventional over/under, and satin black walnut keeps it looking like a proper Browning.
The Cynergy Difference
Browning did not simply restyle a Citori here. The MonoLock Hinge replaces the traditional trunnion arrangement with a full-width hinge offering up to 300 percent more bearing surface, which both lowers the profile of the receiver and spreads wear over far more steel. A lower receiver means the barrels sit closer to your hands, and that reduces the leverage recoil has to rotate the gun.
Browning Cynergy CX 12 Gauge 32 inch Barrels and Sights
The 32-inch barrels are back-bored under a ventilated rib, and back-boring opens the bore slightly to reduce pellet deformation and even out patterns. An ivory bead sits at the muzzle with a mid-bead behind it, which is the arrangement target shooters use to check alignment. Three Invector-Plus Midas choke tubes come with the gun: Full, Modified and Improved Cylinder.
Reverse Striker Ignition
Instead of a conventional hammer and firing pin, the Cynergy uses a reverse striker system in which the striker travels forward directly onto the primer. The result is a shorter lock time and less trigger overtravel, both of which shorten the gap between deciding to shoot and the shot actually leaving. On a fast crossing target that difference is measurable. Impact Ejectors throw empties clear reliably.

Why 32-Inch Barrels
Longer barrels swing more smoothly and are harder to stop, which is exactly what you want on sporting clays, trap and long crossing shots on birds. The extra weight out front keeps the gun moving through the target rather than checking at the moment you pull the trigger. At eight pounds the Cynergy CX carries that length without feeling nose-heavy, and the mass soaks up recoil across a long day.
Why Buyers Choose the Browning Cynergy CX 12 Gauge 32 inch
Browning over/unders have a reputation built over a century, and the Cynergy is where the company put its newest engineering rather than its most traditional. You get the low-profile MonoLock receiver, back-bored barrels, fast reverse striker ignition and Midas-grade extended chokes, in a walnut-stocked gun that will still look right in twenty years. It is a target gun you can hunt with, or a hunting gun that will not embarrass you at the club.
Who Should Buy It
This suits the sporting clays or trap shooter who wants long barrels and a low receiver, the bird hunter who wants one good over/under for everything, and anyone stepping up from an entry-level gun who wants something built to last. The 14.25-inch length of pull fits most adults as delivered, and Invector-Plus tubes are widely available if you want tighter or more open constrictions than the three supplied.
