Description
Most shooters who buy a sporting gun end up paying a stockmaker to make it fit, and then a gunsmith to change how it balances. The Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting 32in puts both of those adjustments in the shooter hands from the first day, which is the whole reason the Pro models exist alongside the standard Sporting.
A Gun You Fit To Yourself
The Pro Fit adjustable comb changes both cast and drop through a single bolt, so the comb can be moved until the bead sits exactly where the eye naturally looks. Far more shooters are fighting a stock that does not fit them than realise it, and this is the adjustment that ends that fight.
The Pro Balance System houses adjustable weights inside the stock, letting the balance point shift forward or back. On a 32 inch gun that matters more than most, since long barrels can hang at the muzzle further than some shooters want, and tuning that also takes some sting out of felt recoil.
At 8 pounds 2 ounces this is heavier than the standard Sporting, and deliberately so. The extra mass steadies the swing through long crossers and absorbs recoil across a full hundred target course.
Thirty Two Inch Barrels And Competition Hardware
Polished blued 32 inch barrels put weight ahead of the hands, which smooths the swing and keeps the muzzles moving through a crossing target rather than stopping at the trigger pull. That is the specific quality experienced sporting shooters chase in a long barrel.
Five extended choke tubes ship with the gun, covering Full, Improved Modified, Modified, Improved Cylinder and Skeet, regulated to a 50 50 point of impact. That split is what most sporting shooters want when a target can break anywhere in the pattern.
The gold plated Fire Lite 2 mechanical trigger breaks cleanly and resets without relying on recoil, and the silver nitride receiver sits low so the barrels ride close to the hands. Grade III and IV gloss oil walnut with a palm swell finishes the package.

Stock geometry differs from the standard Sporting model and it is worth knowing before ordering. The Pro models start at 1 and 3 quarter inches drop at comb and 2 and 1 half at the heel, while the standard Sporting begins at 1 and 9 sixteenths and 2 and 3 eighths. Those are starting points rather than fixed values since the comb adjusts from there, but a shooter carrying a fitting sheet from a standard Sporting should expect to redo the measurements rather than transfer them directly.
Fit and finish on the Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting 32in are held to tight tolerances, with clean wood to metal fit and a lockup that arrives without play.
Why Buyers Choose The Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting 32in
Competitors choose the Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting 32in because the two adjustments that most affect a score, comb position and balance, are built in rather than bought later. Having them from the factory costs less than stock work and carries a warranty.
Thirty two inch barrels suit the disciplines this gun will actually see. Sporting layouts with long crossers and skeet doubles both reward a barrel that keeps moving, and that length is where most experienced shooters end up.
Citori lockup has decades of high round count service behind it, and the 825 receiver refines that design with a full width hinge pin rather than starting over. For a gun that will see tens of thousands of shells, that record matters.
Grade III and IV walnut on a silver nitride receiver puts this well above a working field gun in appearance, and a well kept walnut over under holds value in a way a synthetic stocked competition gun does not.
Upkeep on the Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting 32in is routine, with a hinged action that strips without tools, choke tubes that back out with the supplied wrench, and a walnut stock that responds well to an occasional oil wipe.
Who Should Buy The Browning Citori 825 Pro Sporting 32in
This shotgun suits the sporting clays or skeet competitor who wants a fitted, long barrelled gun and intends to shoot it seriously. The adjustable comb makes it a strong choice for anyone who has never got a fixed stock to shoot where they look, and the adjustable balance suits shooters who are particular about how a gun hangs. It is heavier and longer than a field gun and is not meant for walking birds. A shooter who does not need the adjustability can get the same barrels and trigger for less in the standard Sporting model.
