Description
The Browning 1911-22 BL Compact 22 LR is a pistol chambered in 22 LR with a 3.625-inch barrel and a 8+1 capacity. Browning lists it as item number 051066490.
Browning 1911-22 BL Compact 22 LR Overview
The Browning 1911-22 is an 85% scale version of the classic 1911 chambered in .22 LR, with the same controls and handling as the full-size pistol, making it ideal for training and low-cost practice.
Design and Features
This 1911-22 Black Label Compact features a matte barrel finish, a black a1 front sight, and molded. Magazine capacity is 8. It weighs 13 oz and measures 6 7/8″ overall.
Handling and Carry
It is comfortable to shoot for long sessions, with a grip that fills the hand and sights that are easy to pick up.
Trigger and Controls
The single-action trigger breaks crisply, and the manual safety and grip safety work just like a full-size 1911.
Sights and Optics
The factory sights give a clear, quick sight picture, and the optic-ready slide lets you add a red dot whenever you are ready.
The 22 LR Cartridge
The 22 LR is the most affordable cartridge to shoot, with almost no recoil and little noise, ideal for practice, small game, and new shooters.
Setup and Accessories
A good holster is the most important accessory for any carry pistol. Choose one that covers the trigger guard completely and holds the gun securely, then add a sturdy gun belt, spare magazines, and a weapon light if the frame has a rail. Practice drawing and reloading with an unloaded gun until it feels natural.
Ownership Tips
Read the owner manual fully before your first range trip, and keep the manual, box, and receipt with your records for warranty service and resale. Unload the pistol and confirm it is empty before cleaning. Field-strip it according to the owner manual, scrub the bore with a brush and patches, and wipe carbon from the breech face and slide rails. Apply a light coat of quality gun oil to the contact points, and wipe the exterior with a lightly oiled cloth before storage.
State Laws
Magazine capacity limits, feature restrictions, and transfer rules vary by state and locality. Check your local laws before ordering, and ask your receiving dealer if you are unsure whether this configuration is legal where you live.
Ordering and Transfer
When you order a firearm from MAG5 Firearms, we ship it to the licensed dealer you choose. Your dealer completes the ATF Form 4473 and the background check, and may charge a transfer fee. Local buyers can complete the transfer at our shop. Bring a valid ID, and check your state waiting period before you plan a hunt or a range trip.
Safe Storage
Store the firearm unloaded in a locked safe or case, with ammunition kept separately. A cable lock or trigger lock is a good backup, especially in a home with children or visitors. Keep the original box and paperwork, and record the serial number in a safe place in case the gun is ever lost or stolen.
Your First Range Trip
Start at 5 to 7 yards with practice ammo and work on a steady grip and a smooth trigger press. Load only a few rounds at first, and check that the gun feeds and ejects reliably. Wear eye and ear protection, keep your finger off the trigger until you are on target, and clean the gun when you get home.
