Description
The Black Rain Spec15 ZeroTech Bullfrog is a Black Rain Ordnance Spec15 AR-15 rifle in 5.56 NATO with a 16 inch barrel, a 15 inch M-LOK handguard and a Bullfrog green finish, bundled with a ZeroTech Trace red dot sight. This listing is UPC 697067881989. It ships with a 30 round magazine and an adjustable stock.
Black Rain Spec15 ZeroTech Bullfrog Overview
Black Rain Ordnance builds its rifles in Neosho, Missouri, and the Spec15 is its core AR-15 line. This package pairs a colored Spec15 with a ZeroTech Trace red dot, so it is ready for the range or home defense as soon as you zero the optic. The Bullfrog green finish sets it apart from the usual black rifle.
16 Inch Barrel and 5.56 NATO Chamber
The 16 inch barrel is chambered in 5.56 NATO, so it also fires 223 Remington. Sixteen inches is the legal minimum for a rifle without NFA paperwork and gives a good balance of velocity and handling.
15 Inch M-LOK Handguard
A long free float M-LOK handguard runs nearly to the muzzle. It gives you room for a light, a sling mount and a forward grip, and it keeps pressure off the barrel for better consistency.
ZeroTech Trace Red Dot
The included ZeroTech Trace is a compact red dot that rides on top of the upper receiver. A red dot is fast to use with both eyes open and is a great match for a 16 inch AR at home defense and typical range distances. Zero it with the ammunition you plan to use.
Controls, Trigger and Stock
The rifle uses Black Rain mil-spec style controls and trigger and an adjustable stock, so it works with the huge range of AR-15 parts and accessories available.
Choosing Ammunition
Standard 55 grain FMJ is fine for practice, and 62 to 77 grain loads often group better for precision work. For home defense, pick a quality expanding load and test it for function and zero.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the bolt carrier group and chamber every few range sessions and keep the bolt lightly lubricated. Check the optic mount screws after the first few hundred rounds.
State Laws
AR-15 rifles and 30 round magazines are restricted or banned in some states and cities. Check your state and local law before you order. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.

Before You Buy
Federal law requires this rifle to ship to a licensed FFL dealer for transfer with a background check. Our older listing text mentioned an A2 front sight and a non railed float tube, but the photos and title show an M-LOK handguard with no front sight, so we go by the photos. This is a distributor package and we have one photo of it; ask us if you need more detail before you order.
