Description
The Bergara Wilderness Sierra 22-250 is a Wilderness Series bolt-action rifle chambered in .22-250 Remington that combines a classic sporter profile with an adjustable comb. This configuration (Bergara model B14S804, UPC 043125017362) pairs a 20-inch fluted barrel with an Omni muzzle brake, a Sniper Gray Cerakote action and a woodland camo stock. It weighs about 7.5 pounds.

Bergara Wilderness Sierra 22-250 Overview
Bergara designed the Sierra for hunters who like the traditional sporter feel of the Ridge but want more adjustability. The Bergara Wilderness Sierra 22-250 adds a height-adjustable cheek rest so you can raise your cheek to line up perfectly behind a scope, a must for precise shots at distance. Like every Wilderness rifle, it carries a sub-MOA accuracy guarantee with quality factory ammunition.
Adjustable Comb and Sporter Stock
The comb adjusts with a single flush Allen screw on the side of the stock, so there are no knobs to snag on brush or packs. A slightly more vertical grip than older sporter stocks gives a comfortable, consistent hold, and quarter-inch spacers let you fine-tune length of pull. The camo finish blends into timber and stays grippy in wet weather.

Fluted Barrel With Omni Muzzle Brake
The Bergara barrel is deep-fluted in a No. 5 taper to cut weight and help it cool faster, and it wears Sniper Gray Cerakote for corrosion resistance. The muzzle is threaded 5/8×24 and ships with the Omni brake, which noticeably softens recoil so you can see your shot connect. Remove the brake and the same threads accept a suppressor.
Flat-Shooting .22-250 Remington
The .22-250 Remington pushes light bullets past 3,500 feet per second, giving a flat trajectory and dramatic performance on coyotes, groundhogs and prairie dogs. It also works for deer where legal with quality heavy-for-caliber bullets. The 1:9 twist stabilizes popular 50 to 60 grain varmint bullets and many heavier loads, and the brake lets you spot hits through the scope.
Smooth B-14 Action
The B-14 action runs a two-lug bolt with a sliding plate extractor and a coned bolt nose and breech for smooth feeding and extraction. The receiver is drilled and tapped for standard Remington 700 short-action bases, and the hinged floorplate magazine makes unloading at the end of the day quick and safe.
Care and Setup Tips
Mount a quality 3-15x or 4-16x scope with solid rings, set the comb so your eye centers on the scope without lifting your head, then zero at 100 yards. Record drops at several distances with the load you plan to hunt with, and practice from sitting, kneeling and off shooting sticks. After a wet hunt, wipe the rifle down, run a dry patch through the bore and let it air out of the case overnight.

In the Field
At well under 8 pounds before optics, this rifle carries comfortably on a sling through long days of still-hunting or a steep climb to a glassing knob. The sporter profile slides easily in and out of a truck gun case or a saddle scabbard, and the Cerakote finish shrugs off rain, sleet and the scuffs that come with tree stands and ground blinds. It is equally at home on a Pennsylvania whitetail opener, a western mule deer hunt or a black bear bait site.

Before You Buy
A muzzle brake is loud, so wear quality hearing protection and warn anyone shooting beside you. The receiver is drilled and tapped, but no scope, base or rings are included. The .22-250 heats barrels quickly, so let the rifle cool between strings.
Who It Is For
The Bergara Wilderness Sierra 22-250 fits predator callers and groundhog hunters who want a flat-shooting, accurate rifle with a stock they can fit precisely to themselves.
