Bergara Premier MgMicro Lite 308 Barrel and Muzzle
The 18 in. barrel is a Bergara CURE carbon barrel, a stainless core with a centre wrapped carbon weave rather than a simple sleeve. That construction takes serious weight out of the front of the rifle while keeping enough stiffness to hold a group, and it moves heat out of the steel faster than bare metal.
Rifling is a 1:10 twist, correct for 308 Winchester across the useful bullet range, and the muzzle is threaded 5/8×24. Eighteen inches is deliberately short. 308 burns its powder quickly, so the velocity cost against a 22 inch barrel is small, and the handling gain with a suppressor threaded on is large.
The XLR ATOM Magnesium Chassis
The chassis is an XLR ATOM in magnesium, which weighs somewhere between fourteen and sixteen ounces on its own.
