The Barrett MRADELR Tungsten is the extreme long range version of the MRAD, chambered in 416 Barrett with a 36 inch match grade barrel and finished in Tungsten Grey Cerakote. The grey is the middle option between the black and the Flat Dark Earth guns, and on a rifle this size it reads as a working tool rather than a statement. Barrett built the MRADELR around a specific problem: the standard MRAD chassis was never intended for a case the size of the 416 Barrett at the barrel lengths extreme long range shooting demands.
The ELR receiver is longer, the top rail runs 24.6 inches, and the rifle weighs 23 pounds empty. None of that is accidental. Mass is what makes the 416 shootable off a bipod, and rail length is what lets a scope with enough elevation actually reach the target.
What Sets the Barrett MRADELR Tungsten Apart
The 36 inch match barrel is heavy profile stainless with a 1:12 twist, and it is user changeable with a single tool. Barrels in this discipline are consumable, and being able to swap one at the bench instead of shipping the rifle out to a smith is a real advantage across a season of matches.
The upper receiver is M-LOK compatible with a continuous integral 10 MIL top rail measuring 24.6 inches. That built in cant exists so a first focal plane scope still has internal elevation left at extreme distance rather than running out of adjustment somewhere past 1,500 yards.
A high efficiency three port muzzle brake handles recoil from the 416, and the muzzle is compatible with the Barrett QDL mount. MAG5 Firearms does not sell NFA items, so a suppressor would be a separate purchase requiring ATF approval, a tax stamp and its own transfer.
Chassis, Trigger and Bolt on the Barrett MRADELR Tungsten
The fixed stock carries an oversized recoil pad with push button adjustment for height and length of pull, plus a height adjustable locking polymer cheek piece. Setting the rifle up to your own body takes minutes and no tools, which matters on a rifle this heavy where a badly positioned comb turns a long string miserable.
The trigger is an adjustable single stage module that pulls out of the rifle without tools. Adjusting or swapping it is a bench operation rather than a gunsmithing job, and that modularity is one of the quieter reasons the MRAD platform has aged as well as it has.
The bolt runs a 60 degree throw with an electroless nickel plated bolt head, feeding from a five round single stack polymer magazine. Overall length is 62 inches and weight is 23 pounds, which tells you plainly this is a rifle carried to a firing point rather than up a mountain.

Ammunition, Optics and Transfer Notes for the Barrett MRADELR Tungsten
416 Barrett is a proprietary cartridge and it is not something a general sporting goods counter stocks. Factory loads push a heavy solid past 3,000 feet per second, and the round was designed from the outset to stay supersonic well beyond two miles. Most owners buy factory Barrett ammunition or handload to a proven recipe, and either way the cost per trigger pull is a real part of the decision to own this rifle. Optics are not an afterthought here. The 24.6 inch integral rail carries 10 MIL of built in cant precisely so a first focal plane scope with generous elevation travel still has adjustment left at extreme distance. Mounting a short hunting scope on this rifle wastes most of what it was built to do. Rings need to be tall enough to clear the objective, and a scope level is not optional when a tenth of a degree of cant becomes feet of drift at two miles.
Plan on a spare MRADELR magazine in 416 Barrett, and when the barrel is eventually finished the Barrett barrel maker kit is what lets a smith fit a replacement.
