Barnes Precision Match 6mm CM 112gr – Accurate Open Tip Match BT Match Ammo, 2960 fps, 20 Rounds

Description

Barnes Precision Match 6mm CM 112gr ammunition is built for shooters who want to send it with confidence at long range. Barnes loads a 112 grain open tip match boat-tail bullet with a very high G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.624 (G7 0.300) to a rated 2960 feet per second. That combination resists wind and holds velocity well, retaining more than 2200 feet per second at 500 yards according to Barnes. The 6mm Creedmoor already has a reputation for low recoil and excellent accuracy, and this load is designed to make the most of it on steel and paper.

Why Shooters Choose This 6mm Creedmoor Match Ammo

• Low recoil lets you spot your own hits through the scope
• Packed 20 rounds per box, Barnes item 30814

Barnes Precision Match 6mm CM 112gr Ballistics

• Muzzle: 2960 fps and 2180 ft-lbs
• 300 yards: 2520 fps and 1580 ft-lbs, per Barnes
• 500 yards: 2249 fps and 1258 ft-lbs, per Barnes
• G1 ballistic coefficient of 0.624 (G7 0.300)

The 6mm Creedmoor has become a favorite in precision rifle competition because it combines very low recoil with high ballistic coefficient bullets. Shooters can stay on target through the shot and watch their own impacts, which speeds up corrections on multi-target stages. A match load with a 0.624 G1 BC is exactly what the cartridge was designed around.

Build a data card for this load using a chronograph and confirmed drops at several distances. Once your ballistic solver is trued to your rifle, you can make first-round hits with confidence at ranges that would have seemed impossible with older hunting cartridges.

What Makes Good Long Range Target Ammo

Consistency is everything at long distance. Small differences in muzzle velocity turn into large vertical dispersion at 800 or 1000 yards, so good long range target ammo needs uniform powder charges, bullet seating and case preparation. The Precision Match line is designed around that goal, giving competitors and long range hobbyists a factory load that holds its own against careful handloads.

An open tip match bullet places the jacket opening at the tip and keeps the base closed, which improves bullet-to-bullet consistency and ballistic coefficient. It is a target design, not a hunting bullet, so it is not intended for game.

Barnes has built bullets in Mona, Utah since 1932 and pioneered the all-copper hunting bullet. Its factory ammunition is loaded to the same exacting standards as its component bullets, so you get consistent velocities and tight groups from box to box.

Precision rifle competitors, long range steel shooters and anyone who wants a dependable 6mm Creedmoor match load will get the most from this ammunition. It is intended for target shooting rather than hunting. Always confirm your rifle is chambered for 6mm Creedmoor, verify your zero with the same lot you plan to use, and follow all federal, state and local regulations.

Store this ammunition in a cool, dry place in the original box so the lot number stays with it. Before the season or match, shoot groups at 100 yards and confirm your drops at longer distances using the Barnes ballistics above as a starting point, since your rifle’s actual velocity may differ.
