Description
Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr is a fast, flat shooting open country load built on a bullet most hunters already trust. A 139 grain Hornady InterLock soft point at 3,200 feet per second, printed on the box, twenty rounds on reloadable brass, part number 7MM139SPA20.

Check Which 7mm You Actually Own
This is worth saying first because the distributor codes are unhelpful. This product is catalogued simply as 7MM, and there are at least four common cartridges that answer to that name: 7mm-08 Remington, 7×57 Mauser, 7mm PRC and 7mm Remington Magnum. They are not interchangeable and none of them will safely substitute for another.
The box itself settles it for Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr. Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr is 7mm Remington Magnum, as printed across the front of the packaging. If your barrel is stamped 7mm-08 or 7mm PRC, this is the wrong box. Read the barrel, not the shelf label.
With that out of the way, the load itself is straightforward. The InterLock is a conventional cup and core soft point with a mechanical ring inside the jacket to hold the core through expansion. At 139 grains it sits at the light, fast end of the 7mm magnum range, which makes it a first rate deer and antelope load across open ground.
Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr Specifications
The 3,200 fps figure for Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr is printed on the box by Ammo Inc and taken from a test barrel. A 24 inch hunting rifle will land close to it, a 22 inch barrel somewhat under. Chronograph it before you build a drop chart on the number.
We stock a directly comparable load at the same weight, and it is worth comparing the two in your own rifle. Our Aguila 7mm Rem Mag 139 grain uses a boat tail version of the same Hornady bullet at 3,140 fps. Sixty feet per second is nothing; how each one groups in your barrel is everything. Buy a box of each and let the rifle decide.
Recoil from Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr is real but manageable. A 7mm magnum in a rifle of sensible weight is less punishing than a 300 Win Mag and more than a 30-06, and it is comfortably shootable once the stock fits.

Matching the Load to the Animal
At 139 grains this is a deer and antelope bullet. It shoots very flat and hits hard at distance, which is exactly what open country hunting asks for. For elk, most people would rather have 160 or 175 grains of a heavier or bonded bullet, because a light for calibre cup and core bullet at 3,200 fps is asking a lot when it meets heavy shoulder bone up close.
Mind the close shot with Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr. A fast, lightly constructed bullet arriving at forty yards opens violently and can cost you a good deal of meat on a broadside shoulder hit. That is the price of the trajectory. If your shots are typically short and in timber, a heavier bullet gives up nothing you will miss.
Confirm zero with this exact box. Different 139 and 140 grain loads print to different places, and a rifle sighted in with one is not sighted in with another. Three rounds on paper before the season is the whole ritual.
Practise without the punishment. Our A-Zoom 7mm Rem Mag snap caps let you drill bolt work and trigger press at home, which is where a magnum flinch gets fixed rather than at the bench.
Keep the brass from every box of Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr. Belted magnum cases are worth reloading, and once fired in your chamber they should be headspaced on the shoulder rather than the belt for better case life and usually better accuracy. An ammo box in a similar case family keeps fired brass separated from loaded rounds in the truck.
Ammo Inc 7mm Rem Mag 139gr is a sensible open country deer load: a proven Hornady bullet, honest velocity printed on the box, reloadable brass and a price that lets you sight in properly and still hunt the rest of the box. Just check your barrel stamp first. Ships from our licensed inventory in Collegeville, Pennsylvania, with adult signature required on delivery.
On supply, Ammo Inc produces in batches and the magnum hunting calibres clear the shelves through September and October. If a lot groups well in your rifle, buy enough of that lot for sighting in and the season together, because the next run may print to a slightly different place.
Stored somewhere cool and dry it will keep for decades. Heat cycling in a truck through a summer is the one thing genuinely worth avoiding.
