Description
The Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 S15 is the carry answer to the company’s double-stack Romulus: a slim 1911 that still holds 15+1 rounds of 9mm, built on an aluminum frame with a bobtail cut at the rear. The 3.5-inch bull ramped barrel comes threaded, the slide carries a polished DLC finish over stainless steel, and the optic cut takes an RMSc-pattern red dot directly.
Aluminum Frame and a Bobtail Butt
Aluminum frame rather than steel, which takes real weight off a gun meant to be carried all day.
Bobtail cut at the bottom rear of the frame rounds off the corner that prints through a shirt and digs into the ribs.
Extended beavertail grip safety and an extended ambidextrous thumb safety.
Picatinny accessory rail on the dust cover for a light, which is unusual on a 1911 this size.
Barrel, Slide and Optic
3.5-inch bull ramped barrel, threaded at the muzzle with a protector installed.
Stainless steel slide in polished DLC with front and rear serrations, cut directly for the RMSc optic footprint.
No adapter plate is needed on the Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 S15, so the red dot sits as low as the platform allows.
Checkered grip panels and a flat, aggressive front strap.
Part number AA35X1QMB-PDBK15.

Fifteen rounds in a slim 1911 is the whole point of this design. A traditional single stack 9mm 1911 holds nine or ten, and a double stack like the Romulus holds twenty but fills the hand. The S15 splits the difference: the grip is narrow enough that a shooter with average hands can reach the trigger comfortably, and the capacity is close enough to a modern striker-fired compact that nothing feels given up.
Why it is worth considering
- 15+1 capacity in a slim 1911 grip.
- Aluminum frame keeps carry weight down.
- Bobtail cut reduces printing and improves comfort under a cover garment.
- Threaded barrel from the factory.
- Direct RMSc cut, no adapter plate needed.
Who it suits
This is a carry gun first. Shooters who like the 1911 trigger but have found single-stack capacity limiting will get the most out of the Alpha Foxtrot AF1911 S15, and the accessory rail makes it credible as a nightstand pistol too. If concealment is not a priority and capacity is, the double-stack Romulus is the better fit.

How It Compares to the Romulus
Alpha Foxtrot builds two 1911 families. The S15 is the slim, aluminum-framed carry gun you are looking at; the Romulus is the steel-framed double stack, offered in 3.5-inch, 4.25-inch and 5-inch lengths with standard, threaded or compensated barrels. If capacity matters more than concealment, compare the 3.5-inch Romulus bundle or the 4.25-inch threaded Romulus. For a full-size range and competition gun, see the 5-inch DLC black build. Company information is published at Alpha Foxtrot.
A short barrel gives up a little velocity, so bullet selection matters more on a 3.5-inch gun than on a five. Loads designed to expand at lower velocities are worth seeking out. A 124-grain jacketed hollow point is a reasonable defensive choice, with 115-grain full metal jacket for practice. Because the barrel is threaded, a compensator can be fitted later; note that MAG5 Firearms does not sell NFA items, so a suppressor would have to be sourced elsewhere and cleared through ATF approval. All firearm orders ship to a licensed FFL dealer for transfer.
