Description
The Alex Pro Firearms 350 Legend Hunter is an AR-pattern rifle built for straight-wall cartridge deer seasons. The 20-inch stainless barrel wears a black Teflon finish and a 1:16 twist, sits inside a 15.5-inch free-float M-LOK rail, and feeds from the 350 Legend magazines the cartridge was designed around. A Luth-AR MBA-2 stock handles length of pull and comb height.
Barrel, Gas System and Muzzle
20-inch stainless barrel in a medium contour, finished in black Teflon, with a 1:16 twist suited to the heavy bullets 350 Legend uses.
Carbine-length gas system, which keeps the action reliable with the cartridge’s relatively low operating pressure.
APF 350 Legend brake fitted at the muzzle, threaded for the cartridge rather than adapted from a 5.56 part.
The Alex Pro Firearms 350 Legend Hunter runs a 15.5-inch free-float M-LOK rail, so nothing touches the barrel between the receiver and the muzzle.
Stock, Trigger and Bolt
Luth-AR MBA-2 stock with adjustable length of pull and comb height, which matters when shooting from a blind or a rest.
Magpul MOE pistol grip.
Single-stage mil-spec trigger.
350 Legend bolt carrier group with a nitride finish.
Free-float rail means the barrel is not loaded by a sling or a bipod, which is where most field accuracy is lost.

350 Legend exists because several Midwestern states restrict deer hunting to straight-walled cartridges. It pushes a 150 to 180 grain bullet at moderate velocity with mild recoil, works inside roughly 200 yards on deer, and fits an AR-15 sized action, which is why rifles like this one have taken over from bolt guns in those states. The 1:16 twist here is matched to the heavier end of that bullet range.
Why it is worth considering
- Purpose-built 350 Legend rifle rather than a 5.56 with a barrel swap.
- 20-inch stainless barrel gets the most velocity the cartridge has to give.
- Free-float M-LOK rail with room for a bipod or a sling stud.
- Adjustable stock for length of pull and comb height.
- Legal for straight-wall cartridge deer seasons.
Who it suits
Deer hunters in straight-wall cartridge states are the obvious buyers, and the adjustable stock suits shooting from a blind, a stand or a rest. The mild recoil also makes this a sensible choice for a younger or smaller-framed hunter. Check your own state and county regulations before ordering, since straight-wall rules vary considerably.

Ammunition and Setup
350 Legend ammunition splits into practice and hunting loads. 145-grain full metal jacket is the inexpensive sight-in and practice option, while a 170-grain all-copper expanding bullet is the serious deer load and pairs well with the 1:16 twist. No iron sights are fitted, so plan on a scope. A 2-7x or 3-9x covers the cartridge’s useful range comfortably, and the flat-top receiver takes any standard Picatinny mount. Because the rail is free-float, a bipod can be clamped to the M-LOK slots without changing point of impact, which is not true of a rifle with a barrel-mounted handguard.
