Description
The Akkar 612 Sharp Spur is the full-power member of the Sharp Spur family: a 12 gauge pump with a 3.5-inch chamber, a 24-inch matte vent rib barrel, five extended choke tubes and an integrated 1913 Picatinny rail, all wrapped in Mossy Oak Obsession. The receiver is aluminum alloy, so even with the big chamber the gun carries lighter than its reputation suggests.

What the 3.5-Inch Chamber Buys You
A 3.5-inch chamber is the reason serious turkey hunters still pick a 12 gauge. It swallows the heaviest lead, hevi-shot and tungsten loads on the market, and those loads are what stretch a clean kill past 50 yards. The Akkar 612 Sharp Spur will also digest cheap 2.75-inch target shells for practice and patterning, which matters because nobody wants to burn six-dollar turkey rounds learning where a new gun shoots. One gun, two very different jobs, no compromise on either.
Five Extended Chokes Included
The barrel is internally threaded and arrives with five extended tubes, improved modified and modified among them. Patterning a tight tube against your chosen turkey load is not optional at 12 gauge magnum velocities, and the Akkar 612 Sharp Spur hands you enough constrictions to find the right pairing without a separate order. Extended tubes also tighten by hand and are easy to identify at a glance in a vest.
Integrated Picatinny Rail
The 1913 rail is machined into the receiver, so a red dot or a low-power scope bolts on with no saddle mount and no drilling. On a gun that recoils as hard as a 3.5-inch 12 gauge, a rail cut into the receiver is far more trustworthy than a clamp-on adapter that can creep after a few dozen magnum rounds.
Camo, Stock and Controls
Mossy Oak Obsession covers the synthetic stock and the metal, breaking up the outline in green spring timber. Molded checkering sits under both hands, the 24-inch barrel keeps the gun short enough to swing against a tree, and a cross-bolt safety in the trigger guard works identically for right and left handed shooters. Akkar throws in a beard-measuring ruler sticker for the tailgate photo.

Who Should Buy It
Pick this one if you want reach. Where the 20 gauge and .410 versions win on comfort, the Akkar 612 Sharp Spur wins on payload, and in open hardwoods or across a field edge that extra shot column is the difference between a bird and a story. It is also the sensible choice if you already stock 12 gauge shells for waterfowl and clays and would rather not add another gauge to the cabinet.
Be honest with yourself about recoil. A light alloy-framed gun firing 3.5-inch magnums is not pleasant, and most hunters end up patterning with 3-inch loads instead. Fit and finish are workmanlike, and there are no sling swivel studs. Every firearm we sell ships to a licensed FFL dealer and is inspected before it leaves our counter.
