Field Notes
Instructors get the most out of a ten pack. Handing a student a magazine of obviously inert blue dummies is a much easier conversation than handing over one loaded with brass-cased anything, and it makes classroom manipulation drills genuinely safe.
Malfunction clearance is worth rehearsing too. Loading a dummy behind a live round is how a failure to fire drill gets practised realistically, and it is the only safe way to make it feel like the real thing.
