Charles Daly 202A 28ga 26 Overview
The 202A is a Charles Daly over and under shotgun. Stacked barrels give a single sighting plane and two choke choices, ready for clays and birds.
Action and Controls
The 202A is an over and under shotgun with a break open action. It holds 2rd rounds. The trigger is Single Stage. The safety is tang. This is a right hand model.
Barrel and Chokes
The 26 inch barrel is steel with an over/under vent rib profile. The chamber accepts 3″ shells. Sights are Fiber Optic Front.
Stock and Fit
The stock is wood with a checkered walnut finish. The length of pull is 14.40″. Metal surfaces wear Engraved Silver and Blued.
Size and Handling
Overall length is 43″. It weighs about 6.85 lbs. Mount the gun the same way every time and let your eyes lead the muzzle to the target.
Ammo and Practice
Use target loads for clays, the right shot size for the birds you hunt, and buckshot or slugs only where they fit the job. Pattern the gun with each load at the distances you expect to shoot.
The 28 gauge
The 28 gauge is light and soft shooting, a favorite for quail, doves and skeet.
Sporting Clays and Hunting
This shotgun is at home on sporting clays, skeet and trap, and it carries well in the field for upland birds.
Accessories
A sling, a case, extra choke tubes and a good recoil pad make a shotgun easier to live with. Hunters should add shell carriers and blaze orange or camo gear as the season requires.
Buying Tips
Pattern your gun with each choke and load you plan to use, and check that the length of pull fits you.
Care and Value
Clean the bore and action after each range trip or hunt, keep moving parts lightly oiled and wipe the finish after handling. A well kept Charles Daly holds its value.
State Laws
Some states limit semi-auto features, magazine capacity and hunting calibers. Check your local law before you buy. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
