Description
The Browning T-Bolt Target SR 22 WMR is a straight pull bolt action rifle in 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire with a 20 inch heavy bull barrel threaded 1/2-28 and a target style Grade I black walnut stock. This listing is UPC 023614856382, Browning item 025253204. It weighs about 6 lb 13 oz, measures 38 1/4 inches overall and holds 10 rounds in the Double Helix rotary magazine.
Browning T-Bolt Target SR 22 WMR Overview
The T-Bolt is one of the most distinctive rimfire rifles made. Instead of lifting and pulling the bolt handle, you pull straight back and push forward, which makes follow up shots very fast. The Target SR adds a heavy bull barrel, suppressor threads and a target stock, making it a serious varmint and range rifle in 22 WMR.
Heavy Bull Barrel and Threads
The 20 inch matte blued bull barrel stays steady and holds its point of impact as it warms up. The muzzle is threaded 1/2-28, and Browning includes a thread protector. A suppressor is an NFA item that requires an approved ATF Form 4 and registration and is not legal in every state. MAG5 does not sell NFA items.
Target Style Walnut Stock
The Grade I black walnut stock has a raised comb for a good cheek weld behind a scope, a wide fore-end that rides steady on bags or a bipod, and 20 lines per inch cut checkering. Browning lists a 13 1/2 inch length of pull.
Straight Pull Bolt and Trigger
The straight pull action cycles faster than a traditional bolt and keeps your cheek on the stock between shots. The trigger is adjustable and gold plated.
Double Helix Magazine
The 10 round Double Helix rotary magazine sits flush with the stock. It is a Browning design, so buy spares made for the T-Bolt in 22 WMR.
Why 22 WMR
The 22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire is noticeably faster and flatter shooting than 22 LR, which makes it a strong choice for groundhogs, foxes and other small varmints out to around 125 yards. Ammo costs more than 22 LR and is not interchangeable, so make sure you buy 22 WMR.
Cleaning and Care
Clean the bore every few hundred rounds and keep the threads lightly oiled. Wipe the walnut stock with a soft cloth after a wet day.
State Laws
Some states restrict threaded barrels or suppressor ownership. Check your state law before you order. Pennsylvania buyers can transfer at our Collegeville shop or at any FFL.
