Hi-Point 4595P M81 Camo 45 ACP Pistol – Rugged 14.25 in. Braced 9+1

Description

The Hi-Point 4595P M81 Camo 45 ACP Pistol is Hi-Point’s long-barreled 45 ACP pistol dressed in classic M81 US Woodland camouflage and fitted with a pistol brace from the factory. It uses the same 9 round magazines as the Hi-Point JHP 45 handgun and 4595 carbine.

Hi-Point 4595P M81 Camo 45 ACP Pistol Overview

Hi-Point model 4595P-M81 pairs a 14.25 inch barrel with a polymer frame and an overall length of about 21.75 inches. The long barrel and the low-pressure 45 ACP cartridge make for a soft-shooting gun with mild muzzle blast, and the 1:12 twist stabilizes common 185 to 230 grain bullets. The gun weighs roughly 6.5 pounds, which also helps keep recoil gentle. Sighting is a Hi-Viz front sight with a ghost ring rear, both adjustable, and the barrel is threaded .578×28 for a muzzle device.

Brace and Legal Notes

This model ships with a brace installed. A brace is designed to strap to the forearm, and pistols with braces are legal to buy and own under current federal guidance, though ATF rules on braces have changed several times in recent years. Do not replace the brace with a shoulder stock: a stock on a pistol with a barrel under 16 inches creates a short-barreled rifle, which is an NFA item. Lipsey’s lists California among the restricted states.

Threaded Muzzle

The .578×28 threads accept many 45 caliber compensators and suppressors. A suppressor requires an approved ATF Form 4 and must be legal in your state. Compensators reduce muzzle rise but add blast and noise for anyone beside you.

Practice and Training

Regular practice builds confidence and safe handling. Start at close range, focus on sight alignment and a smooth trigger press, and work back as your groups tighten. Dry fire with snap caps at home to improve your trigger control between range trips.

Choosing Ammunition

Try several brands and bullet weights to see what feeds reliably and groups best in your handgun. Use quality full metal jacket loads for practice and proven hollow points for defense, and confirm reliable function with your defensive load before carrying it.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the barrel, slide or cylinder and frame after shooting, apply a light coat of quality lubricant to moving parts, and store the handgun unloaded in a locked case or safe away from children.

Spec Note

This listing previously described a 9mm MKS 995 pistol. The UPC on file (752334901460) is the Hi-Point 4595P-M81 in 45 ACP with a 9 round magazine, per Lipsey’s, and we have corrected the listing to match the distributor data.

Ownership Notes

Hi-Point guns are heavy and blocky but famously durable, and the lifetime warranty follows the gun. Camo finishes may wear at contact points with hard use.

Safe Storage

Store handguns unloaded in a locked safe, lockbox or with a cable lock, and keep ammunition separate when children are in the home. Quick access safes keep a defensive handgun secure but available. Teach everyone in the household basic firearm safety rules.

Recommended Accessories

A quality holster, spare magazines, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit round out any handgun purchase. For defensive use, add a weapon light and practice drawing safely from your holster with an unloaded gun before carrying.
