AGM PVS-14E 3AW1 Monocular Overview
The PVS-14 format is the most widely used night vision monocular in the world because it is light, rugged and versatile. AGM’s PVS-14E version weighs about 10.2 ounces and measures roughly 4.25 by 2.5 by 2.7 inches. It conforms to MIL-STD-810G, is waterproof and rugged, and operates from minus 60 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. A single AA or CR123 battery provides up to about 40 hours of runtime with the infrared illuminator off.
Image Intensifier Tube
The 3AW1 version uses a Gen 3 auto-gated Level 1 image intensifier tube with white phosphor. It brings together Gen 3 sensitivity, auto-gating protection and the natural-looking black-and-white image that many experienced users prefer.
Gen 3 gallium arsenide photocathodes perform well on the darkest nights, and auto-gating helps the tube handle sudden bright light from headlights, flashlights and muzzle flash without washing out. Features
