Description
The AGM PVS-14E NW1 Monocular (AGM item 11PE41284154011) is a military-pattern night vision monocular built on the proven PVS-14 design and fitted with a Gen 2+ White Phosphor Level 1 image intensifier tube. It offers 1x magnification, a 40 degree field of view and a 26mm F/1.2 objective lens, and it can be used handheld, on a head mount or on a ballistic helmet.

AGM PVS-14E NW1 Monocular Overview
The PVS-14 format is the most widely used night vision monocular in the world because it is light, rugged and versatile. AGM’s PVS-14E version weighs about 10.2 ounces and measures roughly 4.25 by 2.5 by 2.7 inches. It conforms to MIL-STD-810G, is waterproof and rugged, and operates from minus 60 to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. A single AA or CR123 battery provides up to about 40 hours of runtime with the infrared illuminator off.
Image Intensifier Tube
The NW1 version uses a Gen 2+ Level 1 image intensifier tube with white phosphor. It combines the value of a Gen 2+ tube with the black-and-white image many users prefer over traditional green.
White phosphor renders the night in shades of gray rather than green. Many users report that it looks more natural, shows contrast and shadow detail well, and is easier to interpret when identifying shapes. Level 1 Gen 2+ performance works best with some ambient light; the built-in infrared illuminator helps in very dark spots.

Features
The monocular shuts off automatically when flipped up out of view on a head or helmet mount and turns back on when returned to position. Manual gain control lets you adjust brightness for conditions, and an automatic bright-light cut-off protects the tube. LED indicators in the field of view show low battery, infrared on and excessive light. Electronic polarity switching means the battery works in either orientation, and the built-in IR illuminator helps in total darkness.
What Is Included
AGM includes a head mount assembly and adapter, brow pad, eye cup, soft carrying case, daylight filter, shoulder strap, diopter lens cap, sacrificial window, demist shield, lens paper, manual and battery. Optional accessories include 3x and 5x afocal magnifiers, MICH and PASGT helmet mounts, a J-arm dovetail adapter and a long-range IR illuminator.

Who Benefits Most
This version suits hunters and outdoor users who want a white phosphor image at an approachable price for scouting, navigation and property checks.
Honest Limitations
At 1x magnification, any PVS-14 is a navigation and observation tool rather than a long-range identification device; afocal magnifiers help but narrow the view. Helmet mounts are sold separately. Night vision image intensifiers are export-controlled and are sold for use within the United States. AGM covers the PVS-14E with a three-year warranty.
