Description

The Savage A22 Precision Lite 22 LR is a right-hand Savage A22 Precision Lite bolt action rifle chambered in 22 LR. Savage model 47256 has a 18 inch threaded barrel, a black matte barrel and action and a Black aluminum stock, and it feeds from a 10 round detachable box magazine.

Savage A22 Precision Lite 22 LR Overview

The A22 Precision Lite is Savage’s semi-automatic rimfire built for accuracy and serious practice. It pairs the A22’s reliable delayed blowback action with an 18 inch carbon fiber wrapped heavy barrel that is light, stiff and threaded 1/2×28 for a suppressor. 75 inches. A Picatinny scope mount comes installed, and the user-adjustable AccuTrigger gives you a crisp, clean break for precise shots on small targets. 7 pounds.

Rimfire Precision Practice

The 22 LR is ideal for building long range and precision skills at a fraction of the cost of centerfire ammo. With a chassis stock, heavy carbon fiber barrel and AccuTrigger, the Precision Lite is ready for NRL22 and PRS rimfire style matches, steel targets and small game.

Suppressor Ready

The 1/2×28 threaded muzzle accepts most rimfire suppressors. A suppressed 22 LR is quiet, comfortable to shoot and great for teaching new shooters.

Setup Tips

Mount a quality rimfire or precision scope on the included rail, set the AccuTrigger to your preferred weight, adjust the length of pull and zero with the ammunition your rifle groups best. Try several brands, since rimfire accuracy varies by load.

Choosing Ammunition

Every rifle has preferences, so try a few brands and bullet weights to see which groups best in yours. Match the bullet to your purpose, and zero with the exact load you plan to use. Record your point of impact at several distances so you know your holdover.

Optics and Setup

Choose an optic that fits the job, mount it with quality rings or a solid mount torqued to specification, and confirm your zero before relying on the rifle. A sling and a bipod are useful additions for hunting and range work.

Care and Maintenance

Clean the bore after each range session or hunt, wipe metal surfaces with a lightly oiled cloth and check action and mount screws for proper torque. Store the rifle in a dry place and use a padded case for travel.

Shooting Fundamentals

Accuracy comes from consistent fundamentals: a stable position, natural point of aim, controlled breathing and a smooth trigger press. Practice from a bench to confirm your zero, then from field positions such as sitting, kneeling and prone with a sling or bipod.

Recommended Accessories

Plan on a quality optic and rings or mount, a sling, eye and ear protection and a cleaning kit. A bipod or shooting sticks help with long shots, and a padded case protects your investment during travel.
